We've got threads for what you are reading, viewing playing etc. Here's one to let us know what special stuff you are doing at the wekeend, if anything. I'll start the ball rolling by saying I'll be chomping my way through Sunday lunch on a Steam Train on the North Yorkshire Moors this weekend. nymr.co.uk/visitor-services/dining

Driving to Ludlow tomorrow for a week with me mam. Half term up here, so it's holiday time. I'll be meeting my only niece for the first time too, eight months after her birth. Need a break too as I am so meetinged and gazeboed up, I'm not sure whether I'm coming or going.
Travelodge in Lancaster tomorrow night, Ludlow on Sunday then a week later up to Perth for some heavy boozing with the brother-in-law.

OK then, I will be playing poker tonight with Stewpot and raising his big blind at every opportunity. There might even be some beer involved, meaning getting a taxi back tonight, Stew (if you're reading).
Tomorrow, I shall mostly be arguning with people.

Ludlow? My ma lives in Telford, Pops, so if you see her tell her that it's not my fault and that her eldest daughter really needs to get her head out of her own arse. Cheers.

Ah, nice thread. This evening I'm going down the boozer with a bunch of mates after work, and then probably head home for some leftover chilli and a session with Glentoran on CM0102.
Saturday will be mostly spent doing some project work on my AAT Unit 10, which is finally underway. I've done 1,700 words so far, out of a target of 4,000, and I know where the thing is heading, which is a great relief after months of avoiding thinking about the thing. Then, at about 6pm I'll be going for a drinks reception at the Director of the OII's house, to welcome the new batch of students to our Department. I might turn up for half an hour and head out elsewhere, or I might stay and gorge myself on free wine, depending on who's there and what my mood is.
Sunday, I'm heading over to Caversham to discuss guitar pedals with a bloke called Matt who I know through a friend at work. He fixes, refurbishes, and makes all kinds of effects pedals, and he's gonna try and fix my guitar before going through my pedal setup, trying out a few things, and fixing my Wah pedal with a power socket because the battery life on these things is woeful. Then I'll head on home to watch the NFL and prepare myself for my last week working at this place...
I'm looking forward to this weekend.

Can't you just employ a singer to shout "Wah!" when you need to? Saves on electricity that way.
Full of ideas, me.

This weekend I'll be mostly eating radishes.
No, in fact I wont. It's my birthday, ye big 27, and I'm out on the lash tomorrow in Liverpool, then recovering Sunday. Possibly with a bit of home DIY in the process.
First though - tomorrow I'm off out with my youngest sister for her birthday, which was actually in July but I've either been on call or otherwise busy since then (or she's been on holiday). So probably a trip to Liverpool shopping or somesuch fun event.

I hadn't noticed the Pops old man smilie actually waggles his finger in the air. It looks like he's stroking Marty Pellow on the chin

Boo, no? That's the best bit of when Pop's does his smilie thingy I've just had a birthday bash with a girl from work who's very nice. Tomorrow's with another girl frommmm work, and this one's a picknick, with a few others too proobaably from work. Sunday's hopefully at the beach Also, if I'm in good enough shape and early enough on Saturday morning, a pair of jeans and a new mobile phone contract will be purchased.

My girlfriend won't be free this weekend, so that leaves me alone with my things.
Most probably catch up on my readings in preparations for my exams, maybe some Diablo II (my first time playing it) and I have a sushi date planned with my friends.

Diablo II, I've not played, and is it any good, as I didn't mind the girst.
