so he can feel welcome should he ever arrive.
Ahahahahahahaha! The Elthiapolis Colts miserable failure in the Pantfish Cup Play-offs, having swept the regular season, proved prophetic. Which is nice. And yet the real Colts were so near a win - all they had to do was have their fumble recovery chappy avoid a big, lumbering quarterback tackle and they'd be hosting the Broncos in the Conference Finals come the weekend. Waht a pity.
Now you'll have to put up with more "Pointing chokes" comments. Huzzah! And the Broncos now can make it to the SoupBowl thanks to altitude and all that stuff. Unless they don't, which won't be quite as good. I'll grant you.

I agree with Narkle wholeheartedly.
And who won the Helmetball final again?

I believe I did. Unless, of course, you mean the actual final rather than the far more important, morally speaking, consolation final. In which case it was some fat bloke with sideburns.

While Clinton Portis suddenly deciding to score the odd touchdown saw me to victory through the consoplayoffs. To everybody's wild applause.

Stu's already gloated online, the poof.
Hello.
I can't have my normal name here because poofy ProBoards don't allow underscores. Bah! And yes, my showing the playoffs is scarily close to the Real Colts effort.
I won the minor premiership which, as we all know, means I'm really the best.

I can't have my normal name here because poofy ProBoards don't allow underscores. Which reminds me - I've been meaning to ask for ages. What the hell does eltharion_doa actually mean? Is it a band? An animal? A cheap brand of butt plug? Tell me, I've been intrigued for years and I've only just thought to ask.

You just had to ask, didn't you? This guy, back when I was into table top gaming, was my favourite character. So, when I was naming a Diablo character in a multiplayer game just after getting my butt kicked, I picked him as the name. Then, later, when I joined a Diablo clan for online play, their clan "tag" was _doa so, naturally, I added that onto my character. After that it just fit in everything I did online, though I think it was using it to register an email address on Yahoo that really made it "mine".

Aye. Seahawks in the Superbowl? I never thought I'd live to see the day. The Steelers will win, though. Won't they? I don't really know, not having paid any attention at all to the NFL this season.

I'd go along with the bookies in making the Steelers slight favourites but all I know has been gleaned from hanging around FOF forums so it might be total bollocks. Unlikely as that may seem.

Is there a record of who came were somewhere for the next time round? I did pretty well for not knowing much about what anything was.

Too big a margin for me, I think it will be tighter and IMO it depends on if Alexander can get the measure of the Steelers D, that's the game right there.

Major runningback to flop in Superbowl. Defence wins again. You read it here first.

Hollywood would want Pittsburgh to win, with Jerome bettis scoring a last minute TD, as he's from Detroit where the Superbowl is being held. He referred to it as "coming home" in a post match interview last week. If he loves going home so much, why doesn't he do it more often rather than when he's in the Superbowl? Attention seeking poof.

Perhaps his mum doesn't let him. Maybe every time he goes home, he eats the entire contents of her fridge. And perhaps the fridge itself. And she's getting ever so slightly peeved at this, and so he's not allowed home very often. Only when he's playing in the Superbowl that's on over there. And even then, it was a close run thing.

Oh, and Hornet wouldn't like that script. He has some kind of irrational hatred/fear of Jerome Bettis, I seem to remember.

For those of us without access to Sky Sports, I've just found out that the superbowl will be broadcast live on ITV1. Coverage starts at 2315, with kickoff at 2320.
Sweet.

A nice long five minute build up then. Cool.
I'll still be watching Sky though.
I'll be cooking a big pot of chilli for the game, with tacos and salad and rice and stuff if anyone wants to come along. I'll be getting some American beer (probably Coors if I can find some) as I always get the US beers in, but I may also get a pack of Brahma in, I spotted it in Asda the other day and I think it's Brazilian. But that's mine, so ner!
I've just been to the bookies too to get a price on the Superbowl. I also managed to get 4/1 on Jerome Bettis scoring a TD then lifting his shirt up to reveal the words "Fuck you, Micah Hyde!". I put a fiver on it.

I had the Seahawks down for last seasons Superbowl vs the Colts. Still think they're the better side, but given Pittsburgh's ability to run and control the clock I doubt it if either side explodes into any kind of lead.
Seattle to win, by a field goal probably. Just because they're more likely in my eyes to be able to move the ball that little bit further downfield and have a toe-poke.
