I saw something like that the other night, not sure who was asking for directions though, probably someone at work.

on both fronts. I see Pops' new neighbours are Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria. Or could we tentatively call that London? for the ferry ride too. London is in Germany too according to that pin on the map too. I like step 17 too

If you click on the feature, Big Satellite Map, it says that your on a beach on an Island that looks closer to where it should be.

Yes it was, except for the first picture and it being wrong.

Wrong? Is this the Australia is the biggest island thing, again?

It is probably being discounted because it's a being counted as a continent, which is clearly wrong. Either that or it's the usual Amecon braindead fookwit thing, in that they know fookall all about anything outside their sphere of influence.

Australlia is the biggest Island in the world. It just happens to be a Continent too.

It's the whole upside down thing. You turn an island upside down and it becomes a continent. Just ask Pops: he turned Coll upside down and it became Africa.

The continent is Australasia or is it Oceana these days, which included New Zealand. Australia is shirley sub-continent. It is definitely an island.

As far as I recall New Zealand is definitely an island, because it's almost entirely seabed rock, pushed through the surface water, same as the UK. And Greenland. Australia is (almost?) entirely plate rock.
I don't know, either way and the whole thing smacks of the Pluto planet/not a planet argument, but I see a lot of people who say "oh, it's definitely an island/continent" and then when you ask why it's all a bit "eerrr... errr... errr..."
If contiguous continental plate masses are allowed to be islands, then Africa-Asia-Europe becomes the world's biggest island, doesn't it?

Europe is not a continent, we just never admit that. And regarding Africa, you're forgetting Suez.

Suez is man made, so is no count.
If I remember rightly, there's a large part of France that's not in Europe if we start counting rivers.
So that sounds like a solid plan.

Australia is an "island continent" though personally I've always thought giving a shit about being the world's biggest island or not was pretty pathetic. Who cares?

If man made doesn't count, that's Australia out of it as well.

Portsmouth is an island. Can we push it into France?
