Himself, he gave the orders. We all know that Billy is the puppet here. Notice the lack of success since McDaniels left?
It's not just a coincidence, y'know.

Did you see the fight last night between Cortland Finnegan and Andre Johnson? That was brilliant.
I had it 10-9 to Johnson, although it could have been 10-8 as Finnegan landed about as many punches as Audley Harrison.
I smell suspensions coming!

I missed it, is it on nfl.com?
Also, I have no idea who is going to win the SoupBowl this year. Cleveland?

In other news, Chad Henne's 300 yard game yesterday was his sixth as a Dolphin which, alarmingly, is good enough to put him second all time for the franchise.
The list looks like this :
Miami Dolphins : Career 300 Yard Passing Games 1. Dan Marino - 63 2. Chad Henne - 6
Not far to go to catch up now, Chad!

Definitely scored it 10-8 to AJ. Finnegan punked him with the cheap shot to start with, but after that it was all Johnson. Good to see that snide little piece of shit get a beating.
The reluctance of the rest of the Titans to actually help Finnegan was probably the funniest thing about it.

Nice bit of statistical analysis, Stu.

Nice "tweet" last night, (only roughly the third time ever I've said that), which said "Titan's DB now known as Cortland Innegan as Andre Johnson beat the F out of him."

50K fine apiece. Honestly, if you're not going to get suspended for that, what the fuck WILL it take for a suspension to get handed out? Attacking each other with chainsaws?

Wayne's probably the most technically capable receiver in the NFL. I was thinking of this post all through the Sunday night game, which Wayne seemed to be playing having smeared his gloves with butter. He's basically been bloody awful ever since you said this. So thanks for wrecking my fatnasty team, you nobber.

I'm in awe of the abilities of Mark Sanchez, LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene.
And I hope Rex Ryan doesn't choke on a chicken sandwich.

So thanks for wrecking my fatnasty team, you nobber. My pleasure. Someone on Yahoo! compared Wayne to Torry Holt - he might never actually get injured, but the long seasons of wear and tear and niggling injuries might rob him of that explosiveness. Personally I just think he's a bit mentally switched off right now. Either that, or Garcon's case of the dropsies is contagious.

The Football Outsiders guys predicted a downturn in Wayne's numbers this year for pretty much that reason - he's at the age where wear and tear generally starts to catch up with wide receivers. Which doesn't stop it from being your fault, obv.

What scares me, as a Colts fan, is that unlike when Harrison was winding down and Wayne was right there to step up, there's nobody behind Wayne. Garcon's a drops merchant, whilst Collie's good but he's a slot guy really.

Are you expecting a trade before next season, Elth? Or do you think that there'll be enough in free agency (nod to the CBA here) or through the draft?

Colts don't really do trades or FA. They'll try to find bargains in the draft.
We have an awful lot of flaws, though.

That's kinda what I was hinting at. I'd read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that there were creaking bones and there may need to be a bit of rebuilding. I know every team is the same, but it's sounding like what the Patriots were being told by the media a couple of years ago - the start of the decline. I don't think that the Colts front office would allow that to happen though, too many good players there, but there may be a season or two of change to look forward to.
If we still had Maroney, you could have had him.

"The Dolphins rank last in the league in penalty yards and have lost just 124 yards to flags, proving that there are advantages to having a really boring offense."

Thanks, Moo, but we already have a couple of running backs who can't run and can't block.

Miami's Dan Carpenter just kicked a franchise-record 60 yard field goal. At sea level.

Has Pointing ever had three games in a row with three interceptions before? He's turning into Brett Favre. Except not having fun out there.

That last one was completely on him too, Wayne was wide open and he didn't even look at him.

This gem from the Chargers-Raiders yesterday, on consecutive plays. 4th Quarter - 6:41 - 1st & 10 @ San Diego 46 : J.Campbell pass deep left to L.Murphy to SD 9 for 37 yards (Q.Jammer). Penalty on SD, Illegal Substitution, (12 men on the field) declined.
4th Quarter - 6:07 - 1st & 10 @ San Diego 9 : M. Bush up the middle to SD 8 for 1 yard. Penalty on SD, Illegal Substitution, (12 men on the field) accepted.
If you get caught for 12 men on the field once it's probably a good idea for someone to actually leave before the next play.

The Broncos just fired Josh McDaniels.
I wonder if he wants the Newcastle job.

Well, that went exactly how I expected it to. Couldn't pass, couldn't stop the pass, rubbish playcalling, stupid penalties. Everything the Jets have been doing the past 5 weeks but getting away with, basically.
