I forgot: try to connect the "left audio" output from the DVD into the "left audio" input in the surround system, and same thing for "right audio".

Another thing for Pops to send to Bermuda.

It's been vetoed. The wires, speakers and general shenanigans would make it look like we were living IN the surround sound in the wee room.
Oh well.
I didn't need explosions behind my heid anyway.

First one sleeve, then the other.
Serves you right for getting your priorities all wrong, Pops. First the surround, then the sound. The so-called "DTS rather than STD" rule.

I almost bought those Logitech X530 speaker thingies today, but then I realised I might not have a 5.1 sound card. I found out I do, but it's shit and uses a lot of CPU cycles. I'm not sure I have the grunt to spare

Ok I went into a shop today and it was listed as £169.99 same as PC World, where I was to be getting a 10% discount. So I asked the nice person behind the counter what the best pprice was, they humbed and ahhhed, so I said I can get it at PCWorld for £152 and Dabs for £134ish plus P&P, I didn't want to do DABS as they are a pain if yu have to return it fr any reason. So they came up with a price of £149, plus a £20 deal for a 1Gb card, leather case and tripod, which I ummmed and ahhhhed over and went for it. The 1G card itself would have cost £20. PCWorld would have charged £34 for the card which was way over the odds, Ok I can get one cheaper over the net, but not with the leather case and tripod. Thanks for all the advice even if I didn't entirely take it. I'm happy I got a neat compact camera with 5x Optical zoom (which I didn' originally want), lots of features I'll never use and it is easy to use and takes nice pictures. Should last me another 5 to 7 years at least. Even Mrs C likes it.

If you're happy, that's all that matters really.

I think the Canon I'm looking at has the same DIGIC III processor as that. What's the picture quality like? They are probably one of the best processors around.

Nice one. Did they catch the crimina and how do they plan to stop it happening again, did they issue a new card and put a stop the old one?

They didn't catch her. I'd follow it up but really can't be bothered now that Pro Evo's out. They cancelled my old card straight away though, and sent me a new one. My pin's now my name, but I didn't even pick it. Awesome.

Is it? I knew the clocks went back this morning, but I didn't know the year went forward too.
(You're both wrong.)

If you could spell "cock" with four numbers, then I know what it'd be.
Clocks going backwards is something that should happen every weekend.

I refuse to believe pc's with such specs have already been invented. You sure that's not some fantasy website by some geeks?

If you like those specs, you should check out ExtremeTech. They have constantly updated "builds" on their site, including the "Bang for the Buck" pc, the "Game rig for $800" pc and everyone's favourite "PC for your Girlfriend" err, pc. But they also have their Killer Rig. A $1,200 CPU, an $1,100 Video card and a $1,200 monitor. :thumb: I won the "Viagra high score of the week" on the Fannyball this week. But when I don't win that award and I need a... "perk" I go look at that build.
