My Radio contains more recommendations than my playlist, which is songs you've chosen explicitly.

Cheers.
There seems to be a large number of live tracks. Are they outside record company control or something?

It doesn't work at my work so I can't listen to anything. I might get the scrobbly thing installed at home, only I'll have to remember to shut it off before listening to Britney.

This might be of help to some:
Tracks you've played recently appear here — after a small delay — and you have two weeks to remove any track that you don't want to become part of your musical profile.
This was in the recently played tracks section. I'm guessing that's what the garbage bin is for.

Yep that's what I read into it. I haven't garbaged anything yet though as if you skip something you really don't like early enough, it doesn't get registered as played.

You can set the Scrobbler to only register songs when anywhere from 50 to 100% of the song has been played also.

Gotta love the people who tag stuff "Albums I own" or "Bands Seen Live". Trés useful.
Worked out why the Throwing Muses aren't available. I was tipped off when there was no Pixies, (decent) Cocteau Twins or Lush. 4AD haven't authorised the use of their bands on it.

Ok, so I downloaded the scrobbler. And it found my foobar. Whoosh. Suddenly I see pictures of who I'm listening to. In many ways, this is not an improvement.
But....
Quite clever.
I notice that it didn't add the three or four times I listened to your recommendation from the forum, stu. Is that because it's so short?

I'm only compatible with you because I've been listening to Divot Radio slut and not one single track played has been my own. I've started listening to individual play-lists now to avoid certain people who have stuffed their play-lists with close to 200 tracks. Or "Pops" to you or me. Dire Straits Pops? I'm shocked/horrified. I missed this attack on the Straits. For shame on you. They were the only band doing anything different at one point in the past. Untouchable. And what's the point of a playlist if there aren't a trillion songs on it? If there's one thing more heartening than the fact that there are so many fantastic songs in the world, it's the knowledge that there are at least as many that I haven't heard yet. Joy of joys.

It's the full version of the song. If you're getting something else then do a music search in the top right to look for the artist "Lismore" and then scroll to the track list at the bottom of the Lismore screen - the song is called "Cut." It's the full version so it's worth adding to the playlist if you like it.

I've been slowly adding to my playlist. I need to listen to the songs first, and then I'll add them on. It depends on the mood, as I've got a lot to get through if I want to listen to something. More will be happening tonight too. First off to bat, Vampire Racecourse :checkit:

With that aknowledgement, I think we should blame Coffers for everything else we don't like, after we've discounted Baz for putting it on.

Yes, and credit me for anything old and good (other than pops, I'm not responsible for him).

We have our first weekly chart :
1. Muse. =2. Nirvana. =2. Radiohead. =2. Elliot Smith. =2. Kaiser Chiefs. =2. Arctic Monkeys. =7. Led Zeppelin. =7. The Velvet Underground. =7. Teenage Fanclub. =7. Queens of the Stone Age. =7. Snow Patrol. =7. The Shins. =7. REM. =7. Bloc Party.
We managed to run out more than 200 artists in a week, so that's not bad.
In the top tracks chart we have about 90 songs tied for fifth, so I'm not listing all of those.
1 Muse – Knights of Cydonia 1 Nirvana – Smells Like Teens Spirit 1 Skunk Anansie – Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good) 1 The Chemical Brothers – Block Rockin' Beats 5 The Stooges – Gimme Danger 5 Air – Sexy Boy 5 Method Man – Torture 5 Nirvana – Come as You Are 5 Radiohead – Street Spirit (Fade Out) 5 Jurassic 5 – Jayou

The only Radiohead song in the top ten is one I haven't listened to, (even though it's one of my favourites), so you can't blame me for that.

I'm at least partly responsible for Street Spirit. And apparently the Skunk Anansie song, which my profile seems to wrongly believe I've listened to a million billion times.
Nice to see Gimme Danger putting an appearance in, though. I love it like the child I never had. Even though I have children.

Ian-teresting.
Happy (geddit?) to say I haven't contributed to the Radiohead love-in.

i just got my hands on the entire catalog of Sigur Ros' work, down right to their rare EP. So if you ran across one, you know who is responsible.
(Unless something else (like Gladys Knight) pops in, then I'm starting another whole different run of playlist)

I am clearly missing something here*. My recently listened to list of tracks seems to affect the first list of artists, but none of the others.
Is this because I'm being scrobbled by my own tracks, played on my foobar? DO you need to play tracks through Last.fm to get them to count?
I say this because it picks up some Gomez tracks, but then no BLue Rodeo and I've had at least 4 of their songs scrobbled in the last 2 days.
*yes, all right, you're allowed to say "as usual".

I think I'm possibly responsible for the Air track, though I played my collection recently. I didn't think I listened to that song exclusively. Great beat it has in it though. Velvet's is partly mine, as I gave the Andy Warhol album a go. Gimme Danger, great track The funny thing about htat Muse track is that it was voted in as number one in the Triple J's hottest 100. I've not listened to any of the rest either. So who did listen to that Radiohead track?
