Ok, I've finished another season where my star signing was a Belarus forward on a free. The club turned down just under 15M pounds and he then ended up leaving on a free. I finished first, finally cracking the 90 points barrier, getting 94, and scoring 96 I think. I lost only 2 games all year in the league and only one of them was deserved. In Europe I won again, winning in the final 4-2 against Man Utd. I was 3-0 in the 80's when they out of no-where scored two. Thankfully a fresh forward sealed the victory. That meant was unbeaten in about 29 games in LAC. THe GIry Cup continues to piss me off, this time going out in the last 4 on penalties after Deportivo someone kept the aggregate to 1-1. They beat me at my place somehow, and then took the shoot-out ![](http://www.geocities.com/jacquesdebohun/smilies/moop.gif) I took over England too, and recently won the Euro Champs with them. It was surprisingly easy, what with Belguim giving me the hardest time, but since they didn't score in the first half, ended up losing 2 nil with a player short. Russia in the final was taken to extra time, and a penalty in the 120th minute to England sealed what should have been a much easier 2-1 win for England. I decided to have a mess around as well, taking over Milan during the comp. I went on holidays for 1 day, which meant that 5 days went by and England were knocked out of the comp. That's got to be a bug. It was interesting to see how much Lorca were ripped apart. I took about 4 players off their hands and am in the process of a 5th at the point where I saved this. I also took much of the coaching staff, considering I had all 5 stars, and did the same with Milan, made them a 5 star coaching outfit. They had 3 coaches. I went back to the Lorca game at the point where I was offered the Milan job, then rejected it, and after winning with England, had a few negotiated up offers floor me. Real Madrid have agreed to buy two of my players each, one for 60M pounds(an AMC) and 70M pounds(wonderkid striker). Oh yeah, and I was offered at this point too, the Czech job. I think at this point it's time to stop playing. It's also starting to give me the shits with this losing of the fixture lists when I click on a manager. It minimises. Anyway, I've completed what I wanted to do with Lorca, win the most consecutive leagues and LAC titles, 6 each. The only thing I had left to do was crack the 1000 game. 2 seasons would have done that, but not at the expense of the minimising thing annoying me too much.

I can only reiterate that, Sonic.
Also, it is a shame that there still seem to be some bugs that rear their ugly heads in a long term game. I suppose that the vast majority of games played by all are shorter term , with a maximum of about 5 or 6 seasons played, it's only the GR style lot (in the main) that grind out the long term games.
Ah well.
Still, onward and upward... what's the next thing on the agenda?

I've started a Liverpool game on FM07 to get the into the swing of things. It's different I'll give you that, and much, much, mush quicker, that even my typing things I'm slurring to keep up. I'm currently third, having only signed a right back, and sold Zendon for a million pounds. He then promptly breaks his leg for 4 months the instant I accept the offer ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) The LAC is going well and an unlikely draw for Galatasary sees me top my table with 10 points over Sporting(Portugal) and Anderlecht. I'm shipping goals, and it's really annoying. Even more annoying is the fact that my strikers miss open goals. Wide open I'm talking about. It's like they're lighting a ciggy, taking a drag and then deciding it's time to shoot. Mistakes are heavily punished in regards to ratings still, which needs fixing. Gerrard set up two goals and one missed tackle saw him rate a 5 or 6 instead of 8 or 7. Passing is stupid, and it's scary to think what would happen if I did what you did and jumped into the deep end straight away. In saying that, I don't think it matters what level you play at, as long as you get your tactics right. Players will fill this in of course. Speaking of tactics, I'm thinking of having 3 at the back. The only reason I'm thinking of this is the insane amount of red cards being given in the game. Carragher got 2 straight reds in consecutive games(LAC, League). I rarely get reds in any version, though CM05 I think had one of my worst when one player got something like 4 or 5 in a season with something like 17 yellows on top of that. I'm getting to the point where if I see a player go one on one with the 'keeper, I think "miss". Tall man flicking on for a nippy one down the middle seems to work well. Now I've just got to fine tune it. Still one the whole, it's fun.

The tactics and more importantly the in-game tweaks do have a lot of effect on the scoreline after 90 mins, it must be said.
I hate the game, personally, but that's just because I'm crap at it.

I think the media and before/half time talks play too much of a factor in the scoreline.
