I don't think so Stu. Recruiting is a real drag as decent player after decent player opts to go elsewhere. You've been spoiled by the years at Cedar Rapids. Repeat the Divot-mantra : Aim Lower. I'm deliberately pitching high early on to try to catch out the unwary, I've landed one or two unexpected bonuses in doing so. I'll dropping down the pecking orders now in the hope of attracting someone, anyone.

The injuries remain in the same state, none to report from the game.
Ernest Spencer, a center from Scott High School in Huntsville, Tennessee, has accepted our invitation to join with a scholarship. He's the 27th best Centre in the country and he's the best in his state. The scouts rate him at 45. whiuch seems pretty poor to me seeing as he's the 77th best player overall. Then again beggars can't be choosers.
That's both Centres sorted out and makes a total of 4 players committed and 12 to find.

Game MVP: TXEP 55 Kenny Adams This really depressed me, Tulsa were bottom before this game, they have now overtaken us. A complete and utter shambles from start tio finish. It made me want to take a gun walk onto the pitch and shoot the bloody lot of them. Mularoni has the potential to be a good quarterback, unfortunately his current ability is shoite. He managed to throw 6 interceptions against the worst team in the conference apart from us. That puts him in line for a bullet in my book. With the regular season ended, I'm now getting desperate to land recruits we still have 10 vacant slots and we are getting rejections left right and centre.
Finally we land some.
D.J. Dotson, a safety from Garey High School in Pomona, California, has accepted our offer he's rated at 34-, and has no ranking whatsoever.
Jumbo Myers, an inside linebacker from Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park, California, will also join, he's the 85th best in the country an 11th in his state. scout rating is 50+
Louis Blackwell, a wide receiver from Honesdale High School in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, is on his way, he's 11th best in his state and is rated at 47-.
Mack Hanks, a running back from Westlake High School in Westlake Village, California, agrees terms he is 14th best in state and has a rating of 43-.
Barry Diaz, a quarterback from Broome High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina is El-Paso bound, ranked 72nd best in the country and 2nd in his stae he has a rating of 54.

I don't know how much depth you've got into here Coffs, but when you're recruiting these single skill players, (like I was doing at the start with UCF), you really need to get into time management a bit more. If you can get a very clever guy with high intelligence and high high school academic preparation then you can afford to take time out of his study hall hours and give it to either football study or to the weight room time. I won't go into more depth about exactly what I do with the time because the fun is finding out yourself. ![](http://www.geocities.com/jacquesdebohun/smilies/grin.gif)

In the next round of mails we get some more hits:
Phillip Montgomery, a safety from Cuyahoga Falls High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, rated at 43 and 5th best in his state.
That leaves us needing a Punter and a Full Back. Richie Bernard, an inside linebacker from Hallsville High School in Hallsville, Texas, rated 44+ and 12th best in state.
Ernie Duncan, a tight end from J O Johnson High School in Huntsville, Alabama, rated at 51+ and ranked 86 in the country and 3rd in his state.

In the very next round of desperation we land what we are looking for, positionwise that is:
Quentin Hoover, a punter from Saddle Brook High School in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, rate 50 and 75th in the country and 4th in his sate will join the merry throng.
Victor Mattus, a fullback from Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, California, will be on the slitting wrists invite, he's rated 51- and ranked 79th in the country and 10th in his state.
We seem to have quite a large contingent from California this year.

I have messed a little with the time but more to ensure the buggers don't moan at the end of season, I try to give everyone 20% relaxation time. I haven't done anything on an individual basis yet though.

2005 Summary for Texas-El Paso Record: 2-9 Rank: 119 A slight improvement on last year, however some of our better players are leaving, I'm hoping those left behind have developed in the last season. So Rhodes manages to get a QB rating over 100 and the bad news is, it's his last season fro El-Paso. If Mularoni hasn't developed well by next season we could be in serious trouble. ![](http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/2662/qbrateuv2.jpg)

TCY Today informs me that El-Paso's recruitement effort this season is rated at 111th out of 125. So expect another poor season next year. ![](http://www.geocities.com/jacquesdebohun/smilies/moop.gif)

On the Records front I'll only deal with Our Conference;
Irv Bondby created a new Career Tackles for a loss Conference record with 31 tackles. He also set a record of 20 tackles for a loss in a season with 20.
Kenny Adams broke the conference tackles in a season record with 121 this season. He also broke the Conference Tackles in a game record with 23.
Boise State broke two Single Game team records against us: most rushing yards 473 and total yards 663. :moop:

Second placed Boise State went to the Used Car Bowl and got absolutely humped by Louisiana State 54-0. Now they know how we feel when they come to town. Fresno State were beaten 35-10 by Minnesota in the Generation Why Bowl. All The Bowls in a Screenshot: ![](http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/9756/bowluu3.jpg)

CLOSE SEASON EMAILS
Jim Adams of Florida State has been named Coach of the Year for his performance this past season.
Marlon Ballinger has been hired away from his position of offensive coordinator. The bostord.
Bugger: Ellis Gordon, a running back, has been made academically ineligible for the upcoming season for failing a class. That snuck in on the blind side. He was our best RB too.
Plent of players were moaning about free time and relationship bust ups. After their performances last season do they think I care. they should abstain until they win regularly, that shoud concentrate their minds.
