So the day after you run a poll asking if you should collapse the forums together you make two new ones? This has confused me a little. Now I need to remember to go to different places.

My fingers were itchy. Coffers wanted a new board for the Challenge threads. I'm bored at work, so I wondered if I could do a World Cup category too. Turns out I can. If I get complaints, I'll put it all back. Promise.

Oh, I had a quick look at Romania and their second level is made up of 3 groups, it doesn't seem to have reserves or U19's. They have a cup competition and a Super-cup. No more than 3 foreigners are allowed in the match squad. & subs can be named no more than 3 used. There is a play-off system, I suspect it's maybe 1 up from each group plus the winner of the play-off. Who knows?
Bulgaria has no reserves but does have U19's. Has a Cup and Super-cup. Has a play-off final. No foreigners in the match squad, 7 named subs, 3 can be used. Maybe one up from each group and a play-off for another place, but looking at the top league it looks as if only 2 come down. Not sure what's going on.
Uruguay doesn't have reserves or U19's, none of the teams are rated as relegation battlers in the lower division. No cup competitions. Has opening and closing stages, no idea how many go up or down. No more than 3 foreigners in the match day squad. 7 named subs 3 can be used.
Chile has reserves and U20's, plus a team in the lower division called Lota Schwager classed as relegation battlers, they're professional, have fairly basic facilities and a capacity of 3000. They are 2nd bottom after 10 games in the scenario I started up and play in white & black. They have got to be a real possibility, just for the name. As for League details, there are no cup competitions, there seem to be 1st and 2nd phases, no idea how many go up or what the criteria is. There also appear to be some Group stages, which maybe a cup or a playoff system. No more than 4 foreigners in the match-day squad, 5 named subs, 3 can be used.
Serbia & Montenegro, looking at he league it looks as if one goes up from the Montenegro division and 2 from the Serbian division. There is a cup competition, the schedule indicates no play-offs. The match day squad must include 2 U21 players, no mention about foreigners. 7 named subs, 3 can be used.

Sweden was Visby. Not a very long lasting challenge if I remember correctly. I dunno, I played it for a while.

Chile's looking sweet, just for Sweet Lota.

But I'm easy. And obviously incapacitated until I don't get the goods from un-s1ut.

Match day squad must include 2 U21s? That's a crazy rule. Bring it on! I still fancy Grbalj. How the fook do you say that, anyway?

Did I say 2 U21's, it might actually be 3.
PS. I may be wrong but I don't think there's any releagtion from the Montenegro league.

According to Frank there are some more great team names in Chile, including:
O'Higgins de Rancagua CCD Santiago Morning S.A. CD Arturo Fernández Vial
China has Tibet Huitong, who play in my (and Pops') beloved red and yellow outfit.

They're white and red. It's KV Mechelen who're yellow and red. I support them, they're the last Belgian European Cup winners (1988), but their glory has faded: they finished mid table in their first season in the Second Divison (after winning promotion). KV Kortrijk (I remember you managing them, it had something to do with pineapples in thet title) finished fourth or so in the Second Division, just missing out on play offs. They've changed their name to KV Kortrijk Voetbalt, which translates into KV Kortrijk Plays Soccer. Rrrrrravishing.

Kortrijk was when I was playing two games at once- Wilhelmshaven in Germany and Kortrijk. One of the most frustrating games of CM I ever had. I could never "break" the hierarchy of Liege, Anderlecht, Antwerp etc. Very frustrating. While Wilhelmshaven got into the CL I seem to recall. Heady days. I managed Belgium too in that game, but don't tell anyone.

Finished my first season in Serie A with Teramo last night, finished 5th in the end, with Reggina pipping me for the last LAC spot. I beat Roma and Inter Milan away from home, which was particularly pleasing, but we didn't quite have the consistency through the whole season. And we had a shocking start.
Still, Wafer Cup beckons, and I'm looking forward to next season...

There's someone in TMD on tD donig a Lota Schwager story, but I haven't read it. I played with O'Higgins (missus) in 05 I think and ther ewas a non-promotion bug, even after patches, err.. enhancement packs. I hope they've been fixed.
S&M is still an option for me. I noticed one of the Monty teams are promotion contenders but only have 8 players. They must be good.
In short, i'll go anywhere apart from Brazil and Engerland.
I played an hour of Belgium last night. Have 6 games left inthe season and I'm 11 points clear of second place. It looks like I'll get auto-promoted instead of going through the playoffs. However, it looks like there's a silly phasing system in the Second division too, which is annoying.

According to Frank there are some more great team names in Chile, including: O'Higgins de Rancagua CCD Santiago Morning S.A. CD Arturo Fernández Vial Yeah they are all in there, I sort of ignored O'Higgins and Santiago Morning as they seemed to be in the top three in the league of 14. Promotion contenders, which would hardly be a challenge. I can't remember where Arturo Fernández Vial were, midway I think, certainly the name struck me as a possible too. I've gone off Bulgaria (due to no forriners rule) and also Uruguay , due to the lack of reserves, U19's and other Cup competitions. I think first off we should pick on a league then if it's not S&M do another team write up for the chosen league. Then pick an appropriate team. Unless anyone wants to cover the other leagues suggested so far with team write ups. I don't really mind where we play though.

Other votes on the table?
