Should have stuck with the 9-9s. I'm sure one of them is going to kick in.
Hands up who isn't hoping that Italy score the winning goal in the 90th minute only for Romania to win against Holland B in injury time.

It's at times like this that I not only wish there was a footballing god but that I had the gig.

At 2004 about the only result that would stop Italy going through was a scoring draw between the Shandy's in the last game Matt Jonson's 89th minute effort sealed a 2-2 which sent the Italians, even though they didn't lose a game.
So I think the Gods are already on your side.

I remember Cassano scoring and then crying about a minute later. This was before I found out Cassano cries at everything and holds his breath until he gets his way.

So who's winning this league thingy? As far as I can see, the results haven't been updated for a while...

Not me is all I can say with certainty.
And my latest batch of guesses smack of the devil-may-care.

So I think the Gods are already on your side. That's what I was thinking about. I remember the Italian indignation at the injustice of it all with a faint giggle. And you don't have to be Ms Morissette to find that ironic especially given the way they routinely spawn their way into World Cup Finals.

I remember that they wanted UEFA to investigate the dirty communist vikings to reveal the collusion that was clearly going on.

Indeed. The recent Shandy-Daneland game at Parken goes to show that the Swedes and Danes luuuuurve each other.
That game was pretty exciting. At 2-1 though you couldn't help but think that the Danes didn't really give much of an arse any more as there was no way the Shandies were going to put two past them, so they were through no matter what, it was just a matter of who they'd meet, Holland or Czech. Meanwhile the Shandies scored because they cared. Which is very Douglas Adams of them.

Not the big image that says "Group Game 1", "Group Game 2", "Group Game 3", "KO Stages", that actually gives us our total scores. Oh, and the Stage 2 details link is only half filled in too.
Ye poof.

As mentioned earlier, I've no idea how I manage to do OK in these prediction-type thingies given how unbelievably awful I am at fatnasty football.
Suddenly remembering I hadn't picked Sunday's games a minute before they kicked off, then getting both scores spot on helped a bit, mind.

I love that we didn't manage a point between us for the Switz-Geese and Turk-Check games. That's ITV pundit-level predictioneering, that is. That's going full Alladyce.

So that's Stage 3 over with and onto the KO stage. I have updated the initial posts to reflect what is going on. Try and send in your predictions ASAP, in case I can't hassle you.

I shall be writing a letter to Moo's MP about the Ruskies playing poo for two games and then turning into a potent, exciting attacking force.
