There's a Zed outside of Mom's Diner in laurievile, it attacked me but I have no EP to deal with it I think it might be out of EP too as it only moved one square away. I might inject myself, as I think it may have infected me when it ran. What makes you think that? Odds are pretty much against it this early on. Are you on 20 or 50 hps? I've just this second burnt my EPs fixing some more fuse boxes so I shall not be responding to the call. Unless I'm paid a substantial call-out charge.

Just thought it strange that he moved a square so fast.
Anyhow, I'm at 10HP and have been at 20 or less for a long long while.

I shall soon commit suicide by climbing in an attempt to get some HP back next time I get a chance to log in. Finding a mdic or medkit for that matter is turning into a right pain. 9 injectors I found in an hospital and not a medkit in site.

Pah a Zed got me first and saved me the trouble of wasting EP. There are at least two opwrating around Laurievile, one at least, is in the Towerco Appts area.

Heh, and woot, my zed has took out a whole Uni this morning. As for metagaming here, no fooker takes any notice anyway so it doesn't count.

I suspect I've just been meta-gamed by the evil zombies. Couple of guys clawed the doors then a couple of zombies turned up and started snacking on me. Only 16 HP though so they'll be rather disappointed with their reward.

I'm dead again, but I've made it to level 4 zombie by killing three people and about 15 fuse boxes.
Narkle needs to start giving me a cut of his fee.

I moved onto a building with a closed door scratched it twice and then got chopped up by a Herman with an axe. That's this game over for the day, well until just before I play GloF tonight that is.
My Zed is at level 3, just 6 points away from becoming level 4, he has a total of 6 kills to his name and has died 16 times. The human has just made it to level 3 this morning, having killed just one zombie, he's died 6 times so far.

Alex announced some minor improvements to the game, when in the building you can click on the floor above or below you (on teh map) to change floor levels and a nice one for zombie players....
A new skill was announced: # Eat brains (175 SP) Can eat dead citizens brains and regain 5 to 10 HP.
It comes under the regeneration class.

Pretty Nurse Garraway proved to be a tasty meal and as a double bonus I turned her into a jolly green giant or something.

Thank christ for that. I've been trying to get back to the Z side, (without actively trying), for two days now.

Oh bugger, if I'd known that before hand, I'd have left you a little while longer. As it was, with only 1st level infection skills, I infected you on the killing blow, which if I recall correctly was my last EP too. I got wasted by some bloody pinko within minutes.

Some bostord citizen knocked me down to 2 hits and then unreinforced the doors. Unluckily for him I ran away before his zombie friends could convert me, after killing him. Of course I should have left him on 2 HPs instead, but I thought I'd get a kill bonus for him.

It can lead to bostords like that getting banned. Was it you reporting Pito doing the griefing on the radio?

I just chased Narkle across a good chunk of the map and infected him, but had nowhere near enough EP to kill him and actually turn him.
I've got full infection now and it seems to be worth way more than the 6% or so it's supposed to work on. I don't remember the last person I killed who I didn't infect along the way.

It all depends on how low their HP is and how long it's been there when you start attacking. There is now a general Health stat that adjusts 1 point towards you HP every now and then, if it's high the Zed's find it hard to infect if the GHP is low then it is easier to infect a human. It's a hidden stat which encourages humans to get regular heal at stay at Max HP as for long as possible. Thus keeping GHP as high as possible to prevent infection.
If a zed with full infection abilities bites a human with very low GHP, it increases the chances of infection by up to 6 times your normal infection rate.

Yeah I know that, but it doesn't seem to matter who I find. If I take a guy down from 30+ it still seems to get them every time. On 10 hits, (I only use bite), a 6% infection rate shouldn't infect once, (under the old system), and seems to infect every time in the new system, regardless of target HP..
I'm always thrilled now to find someone who has been on low HP for a while because it's virtually a guaranteed infection, but the near full HP people seem to be virtually a guaranteed infection too.
Not that I'm complaining.

^ Case in point. Narkle was over 40HP when I caught him and I think it was the third bite that said I infected him.
At which point I ran away.

On the other hand I don't have much in the way of infection resistance. Maybe the percentages don't mean what you'd think they should mean somehow, alá GLB.
Still, thanks for letting me know I'm infect slut. I shall have to see about injecting myself.
