Now that he is famous, he's clearly forgotten who his friends are. No, I haven't. That's why I will never open a facebook account.

Relax, elth. I am not on the prowl tonight. So this is the place for updates, is it? I think the last thing I posted was the death of my father. Well, the lazy bostord is still dead. After all those zombie films, videogames, webcomics and graphic novels the only explanation is that he can't be arsed. I'm in therapy as well, a gestalt gal is trying to get me in touch with my damaged inner child. Turns out my inner child was an undercover FBI agent so my gestalt therapist ended up in jail. Oh, and I bought a new tv, so jay.

No point trying to pretend I haven't missed posts that I have to read three times.
Good to see you back at the coalface.

What's hard to read? New telly. It's LED, and it's got Some Sort of Super Smooth Motionâ„¢ that blurs the contours of objects, and it's connected to the internet so you can watch youtube videos if for some reason you find keyboards too handy and prefer a slower and less efficient way of searching for videos using the remote.
The thing is, what I like of it is the USB connection. I can download stuff, stuff stuff into a USB drive, plug stuff in and watch stuff. Quite handy. The rest is just there for show.
The sad thing is that my wife wanted the 36" screen and I talked her into buying the 32" screen. Also, she wanted to buy a Wii for the kids and I objected until we finally did. So, let me check: I wanted the smaller tv and I did not want a gaming console in the house. I am officially one handbag away from being the wife in this marriage.

That's the thing about curmudgeonliness- families are like a natural antidote....

Welcome back, meej, we all have handbags, just some people insist they haven't.
I mean, they all have them. I don't, obv.

My god are you needy.
The book sold reasonably well, at the one year mark I received the report from the publisher that 800 copies out of a 1100 run had been sold. If you take out complimentary copies and the like handed around I've sold 80%, which is nice - of course, it's 80% out of a very limited printing run. There's been desultory talk about printing more copies, but I don't see the point as everybody who wanted the book has probably purchased a copy by now. It's a small niche, as is the nature of niches everywhere.
I'm now in the middle of anothct project, a co-op book, which is proving to be a different challenge. We will see.

You sound surprised that we're needy. You know the messageboard game, especially in the land of divotry. We need to be here to talk the pish that no-one in real life will listen to.
Or maybe that's just me.

Aaah, where have the days gone when threads like this were the norm- i.e. full of shite.
Defo more missing divvies than not now, methinks.

It's unfortunate, but I think we grew up. Some more so than others.
I'm nodding in the direction of Stu, obv, the fat mess.

Speak for yourself. I was thinking yesterday I might get a new tattoo. Maybe the Double Ds.
Sometimes grown up life's challenges need countered with childish distractions.
