Have you seen him? He's apparently worth 1.4m.
Bugger. He's transfer-banned until 6 March.
Swapsies?

Just noticed my next game. Old Trafford on Saturday night. Sheesh. Their average player value is 3 times mine. Bottom of the league is a lovely place to start a game...

4-2-3-1 is your friend, Pops.
That and hope. And whisky.

I'll be writing that one off and going onwards and upwards.
Playing with one striker brings me out in a rash. Not going to happen. I might actually play with three.

Just spent 55m quid. Sweet. I imagine you just spent another couple million as that Edu goal went in?

"My" Newcastle just stuck a 3-1 on Bolton thanks to three assist from MoM... Peter Lovenpants.
Goals from Gutierrez, Ireland and Benjamin Arthur.
I also nabbed Lukaku for Kuqi, Ranger and a few million beans.
Looks like home games are going to net me about 1.4m after wages and ground upkeep.

So now I've got some Belgians, we wait to see how it all pans out. Ian-teresting.

They're only wee. I wasn't going to splash out just in case this ratings theory is rubbish.
Oh, and because I had no money left.
I'm chuffed that the manager of West Brom loaned me Panjic, though, as Man U asked for him on loan too, but he cho-cho-chose me.
He'll probably haul him back soon as he scores or sumfink.

Last Saturday. It's difficult to work out a weekly costing, really. What happens if you financially.... explode?

No idea. I'll guess we find out in three weeks when most of you lot get fired.

gah! A Polish guy I had on my shortlist went up 5 to 80 - while I took the Bosnian guy I have now and he stuck on 75. Pants!
Better news that Livingston shafted someone or other 5-0 last night. Looking good for 2nd place and automatic promtion.

My Polish keeper moved not. It's quite exciting speculating on Belgians.
The loan system is shite, though. You can't loan players from unmanaged clubs, they can just recall them for the craic, you can't loan a player from a club with less than 21 players and then for the majority of the rest of the time you just can't loan them (the chairman will not allow it). Bit of nonsense, really.
Rather frighteningly, all my Derby bids have been accepted. That's not very realistic, now is it.

Boo! The next round of updates are all the big leagues where players are already going to cost a packet. And where players that are going to be probably already have been upgraded in November. Down with that sort of thing.

It is a bit geared to the populist, though- not really divot grounds. Just look at the teams in Div 1- can't push a stick in there for massively named players at Shrewsbury etc...

It's a perfect alternate divot universe. We can't get to the top with a mixture of milkmen and accountants, but we can dirty up someone's Premier League with Rochdale, Crewe and Tranmere.

Someone's been at that already in my Derby game. Shrewsbury and Chesterfield are in D1. My transfers are due to come in the next 24 hours, so I will be mostly putting in an entire new team of players for the Man U game tomorrow night....
