The BBC are doing the interactive highlight thingie? Great news, the missus WILL be pleased.
"No dear, I just must watch South Korea - Togo before I go to bed. I had a quid on Korea to win!"
You do realise that I could possibly be stabbed within the next four weeks, don't you. Footy tournaments, eh? Gotta love 'em.

The problem with the times is that 18:00 is when we give David dinner and get him ready for bed and the 21:00 one finishes a bit late for those of us who get up at 6:00. You aught to be used to lack of sleep with your blob experience. Shirley a start of 21:00 finishes around 23:00, that gives you 7 hours sleep if blobs don't wake in the night, less a bit if you don't go over straight away. More than enough shirley?

Unfortunately I get up at 6:00 but the fucking birds twittering like they're on speed at 4:00 tends to cut down on effective sleep hours.
22:45 is ok. It's when the knockout stage and the inevitable penalty shoot outs kick in that my stamina will be tested. Luckily all knockout games ever are going to be a load of poo. Apart from the England ones because they normally manage to make something entertaining out of them. (Barring last world cup, natch).
Anyway - everyone has until 16:30 BST to get any last minute "free" transfers in before the tournament deadline.

Just as well both my defenders have had clean sheets so far because my midfield and attack have average a mighty 1 point apiece. Bloody injuries! Well, not literally.

And the Yahoo ftnasty league is just plain stupid. How the hell does Lampard get 11 points while Riquelme manages 6? Bollocks to that, I say.

Lampard had shots and got fouled, Riquelme did bugger all apart from the assist.

Lampard did bugger all . <- Riquelme did something. I would give him both assists. But I live in the land of Ice Sticks.

19 points. Ker-ching! Thank you very much Mr USofA.
However I've now remembered why I don't like fatnasty games. I now find myself not wishing 100% that Ghana will beat Italy. Only a mere 98%.

I think everyone has Rosicky in their team. Well, yeah. I thought it was probably a good idea to take Pantfish Wenger's advice. Whatever else you say about him, he does know a decent attacking midfielder when he sees one.

Surely if he was a decent attacking midfielder Chelsea would have bought him?
They bought all the others.

I don't have Rosicky.
His name doesn't sound rude.
At the risk of sounding arse, I've always liked him, before Dortmund even- he's a class act.
Liking the Czechs.

Curse Toni and his inability to convert one of his many chances and then getting subbed just before the opportunity that would have been given to him had he been on the pitch. Gah! Still he looked fantastic it has to be said. I remember when he was the freebie to get in CM0304 as his contract always expired with Fiorentina after the first season.
So, basically, I'm all about the defence with one decent midfielder thrown in. Unless Mr Togobloke or Seniõr Trickypants manage something.

Luckily I still have him in my other World Cup fantasy team...

All my defence got clean sheets in the first round, and Tim Cahill did wonders against Japan. Come on the Methadone Allstars!

Not only did I pick Joaquin for the first round but I used up all my transfers for the second round before I realised that he doesn't feature a great deal in the team any more. D'oh!
And I suspect my policy of picking players who did well in the first round is going to prove to be fundamentally flawed. Just a feeling I have.

This is crap, I forgot to do any transfers, because I thought by second round they meant the 1/8 finals. I blame Moo, he's been confusing me with all his 2a, 2b and 2y malarky...
