But they're nice and educational. A is for apple, B is for ball etc.
And I don't know how this works to judge who is top or bottom, but I'm sure none of you are doing especially good. Ner.

Com'on Baz, it's not like someone is telling you the rules, you deaf cocker, they're there in black and white. Or green and blue if you've been messing with the CSS.
Lowest possible score: 1566 To do this, you'd need to have no draws of any kinds in the group matches, have your 1 to 8 point teams win all 3 games (and stand atop their group), your 9 to 16 point teams win 2 games (and grab the #2 spot in each group), your 17 to 24 point teams win 1 game and your 25 to 32 point teams win 0 games (and all 16 of them therefore be eliminated from the WC). At that point, you need every single lower point team to win each of the playoff games they play, ending up with your 1 point team beating your 2 point team in the finals.
Highest possible score: 4671 Look at the above scenario, in an alternate universe where elth is rubbish at FM and Trevor Francis isn't annoying.
Average random score: 2854.5 This is based on an average ranking for a team being 16.5, and that each game is an equal random chance of A beating B, B beating A, or a draw. If this is the case, then an average result for a game would be each team would get 1 1/3 points, and therefore 4 points each for all the group matches.
So there you go, now you have some basis over which to mock people at the end of the tournament.

Weird how Stu and me had such similar looking spreads and I'm doing so much better than him.

This is just silly last time I looked I was bottom, now I'm third. Talk about yo-yo clubs.

I'm still top, coffers, so it's all ok. I don't think I've got Argentina high enough to see me through the later rounds, though...

I don't think the later rounds will make that much of an impact maybe 100 points or so. If you've got a decent lead after the group stage I don't see that being pegged back.
The later stages should have an importance modifier attached. Say 1.5* in the second round, 2* in the quarters, 3* in the semis and 5* in the final.

Wins for Ukraine, Switzerland and Spain do just enough to give Moo the lead...
1 Moo 1982 2 Boo 1981 3 elth 1909 4 Narkle 1902 5 Pops 1891 6 Fuzzy 1889 7 Stu 1878 8 J² 1866 9 Horn 1864 10 Coffers 1864

Just wait until I run one for the next premiership season.
The good thing is that the game is fire and forget... you stick in your choices and then watch as you move up and down the table faster than Boony with a fork.

Why? Nothing's changed since yesterday. Unless the Germans sneakily kicked off at midnight, to catch the Ecuadorians out.
Go sort some files or something.

How's this thing affected by this afternoon, then? I must have picked up a few points for Angola getting a draw. Not enough to catch Moo, though, but I'm closing again...
Come on s1ugt, sort it out!
