Compared to ours at the moment you have none, therefore you have nothing to complain about. Anyhow I'm not complaining as we're shoite without the injuries, we're just shoiter with them.

Nice to see you're getting the excuses in early though, just in case. Nice work!
To be fair, you should still be humping that sorry rabble. No pressure, like.

No excuses Moo, I just cannot see us getting anything out of the game. Sunderland are a rabble, but they do try to work for each other, they have nothing to lose as everyone expects them to go down. We on the other hand have a team full of players terrified of putting a foot wrong. We should hammer them, I hope I'm wrong, but we'll be lucky to scrape a point tonight. The fans haven't helped with their constant critisisms when the slightest thing goes wrong, I think we probably have some of the most fickle fans in the country and always have had. Having said that McClarens tactics and motivation skills are looking to be pretty woeful. It doesn't help that the players he has bought don't seem to be able to pass the ball to one another. Also our training system seems designed to crippple players rather than make them fit and skillful.

Ah, the old Ibrox curse. We've had guys who've had entire careers at Rangers and only played three games.

I've had the same conversation with a Mackem not five minutes ago. "I can't see us getting anything out of the game" was the exact phrase he used too.
I'm just looking forward to the game at cITEH tomorrow night. Joey barton getting booed when he touches the ball should be nice. WTF is he thinking? I'm convinced he's been tapped up, because it's a daft time to be putting in a request, nobody can do anything about it. I just noticed that his agent is Willie McKay, the guy who has been linked with so many Newcastle transfers in the past two years. Hmmm...
Anyway, who would go for Barton? He wants European footy next season, fair enough, but who would give him it and be in the market for a central midfielder? Man Utd? Arsenal? Spurs?

Man Utd need MCs, badly. But they won't go for Barton. Will they? :shudders:

It's possible, Boony. He's a hard worker with a screw loose. Keano #2

Transfer deadline story of the decade, that would be. I wouldn't put it past United tapping him up, either. City have said they're not selling, though...

Oh aye, the old "Not for sale!" gambit. I like that one.
The mackems are about to sign Rory Delap from Southampton on a free transfer. Ok then.
And WTF is D'alessandro doing talking to Portsmouth about a move? Did Sping really over-rate him that much?

I had to laugh when it was claimed by Barton that Citeh were taking him for granted. That about the club that gave the man, who is a total idiot, more chances than he deserved. In any other job he would have been out on his arse and regularly signing on down the labour exchange or whatever it's called these days.

It's possible, Boony. He's a hard worker with a screw loose. Keano #2 He only has to work so hard because he's very quite shit. Can't pass, fouls more than tackles, no positional sense....a gingerless Nicky Butt, but without that modicum of talent that made Butt worth an England call up. He has a screw loose though, that much is true. Just turns him into a snarly Ince type player, rather than an intimidating loonie like Keane.

Fair comments there, DC.
I see David O'Leary has stated that he won't be getting anyone into his club today before the deadline. Cue the sound of every footballer in the world sighing with relief.

Aw come on moo, it's only the ones that want to win something that will be sighing, those that just want to pick up a wad of cash and do sweet FA for it will be devastated, just as they were when McClaren said we weren't bringing in any new faces.

Was I too harsh on Dave? My apologies to him then.
Not that he'll be bothered what I say, of course.

And WTF is D'alessandro doing talking to Portsmouth about a move? Did Sping really over-rate him that much? Redknapp could have signed him for West Ham for £2.5m back in 1999 but turned him down. We signed Titi Camara and Rigobert Song instead. He's basically Joe Cole Mk2. I can't say I've seen him much to see whether he has matured as a player like Joe Cole has.

I remember his choice to go to Wolfsburg as being a surprise, i think I read it in FourFourTwo or maybe World Soccer. Wolfsburg were considered a medium sized club rather tha a top one where he was supposed to go. Saying that, if he has fallen from grace since his move, Portsmouth may be ideal for him to get in the shop window for the summer.

Portsmith have signed 9 players, practically a second team. I didn't think they had that many injures!
Meanwhile, S-P has moved on loan to Blackburn, I didn't see taht one going as he's had some decent cameos. Having said that, he's further down the list with Fowler rejoining. Arsene has sold another English youngster in the form of Bentley to Blackburn too.

Birmingham signing DJ Campbell sounds like a bit of a reach to me. 500k plus 500k on apps/performance is a lot of money who was signed by Brentford for 5k in the summer.
Spurs getting Danny Murphy surprised me too, TBH. I didn't see that one of the Sinama Pongolle thing coming at all.

He was a £280 a week warehouse worker this time last year., so the boy's 'dun gud'. Boro winning 3-0 at the stadium of shoite. I didn't see that one coming. Blunderand must be truely shoite. I see we are only a point behind Newcastle and Villa now. Suddenly the world seems a little bit more of a happier place.

Nice one Ellie!
Aye, we could do with a win at cITEH tonight, Coffers, the lack of gap is worrying me. And it should be worrying Souness as well. Hopefully Emre will be available for a start tonight, although I would probably keep him on the bench and play him the last half hour, like we did on Saturday.

Moo: there might be a fan backlash at cITEH tonight after the Joey barton fiasco. Judging by the NW Centuary phone in last night everyone is preparing o barrack him if he plays.
It could work in your favour, then again it could just fire him up.
