He's quicker, but he's not as good at running routes, and he doesn't have Wayne's hands.
Wayne's probably the most technically capable receiver in the NFL.

I'll tell that to Wes Welker next time I see him.
In other news, Horn does indeed need to put down the pipe.
Stu - I saw that, but haven't heard any of it yet. Any good? If it's anything like his book, from a humo(u)r point of view, I'd like it.

Welker can't run the outside routes like Wayne can. He's the most complete receiver in the NFL, in my opinion.
Having an athletic threat like Brandon Marshall or Calvin Johnson on one side, Wayne on the other and Welker in the slot and you'd be basically uncoverable.

A couple of Henne's passes hit me in the face last night. He was dreadful.

I believe you, Stu, you have a fat face. In related news, nice to see my pickup of Mick Vick worked wonders for his career. [/Coffers_QB_curse]

Oh my, I went for him too but you had priority on the waiver list or something, to think I was cursing you at the time.
By trying to sign him I hexed him, he thought he was playing for the chokers.

I got pissed in Hull once, it's got some decent boozers. Mind when you are in Hull getting pissed is probably the best thing to do.

"The Patriots would be receiving a third-round pick when the deal is completed, which could be at any time now. That gives coach Bill Belichick two picks in the first, second, third, and fourth rounds in the 2011 draft'
He's just having a laugh now.

Not bad considering we got him for a 4th round pick three years ago. It means we're a bit light in the WR department now though because I don't think that Edelman or Tate are a #1 WR.

Vincent Jackson to the Patriots in three... two...

I thought that too, but hasn't he major nutcase issues?
Vic Carucci (NFL.com columnist) says he won't go to the Pats and if he says so, then it must be true.

There was apparently talk of a Logan Mankins trade for Vincent Jackson. That's interesting. In related news, Randy Moss was traded less than a week after he and Tom Brady had to be pulled apart in the locker room because Brady reacted badly to Moss telling him that he looked like a girl, because of his new haircut. Traded for telling the truth?

Big news over here was the guy who went 14-for-15 in a 15 game $5 parlay.
In the last game of the 15 he had the 49ers+3 and they lost by... three. I have no idea if the push gets him his $100,000 or if he laid some of it off, (which would have been the smart thing to do, by putting however much money he could raise on the Eagles).

There was apparently talk of a Logan Mankins trade for Vincent Jackson. That's interesting. Nope, Deion Branch comes back from Seattle instead. Weird decision on the face of it. For a team with a supposed elite defence, the Jets give up a FUCK of a lot of 3rd-and-long conversions. It's a big reason they lost to Baltimore, and it's going to come back to haunt them as soon as they're playing a more competent quarterback than the old-man dodgy-armed version of Brett "Fucking" Favre. :moop:

He's probably the only veteran we could get at a relatively cheap price, Hornet. I'm not totally surprised by it, once I saw the report on NFL.com yesterday about him talking to Brady, but yeah, he's not Moss or Jackson.
I wouldn't say that the Patriots are giving up on the year, because I think that the top three teams in that division are going to have pretty similar records at season end, so we have a decent chance of post-season, but we're sure as hell not going to Dallas in February 2011.
