The more interviews I see with RGIII, the more I think I want the guy to succeed just because he's a genuinely intelligent, worldly guy who happens to be an awesome college football player (and all round athlete).
Luck in comparison doesn't come over as well as someone like Peyton or Brady, he reminds me more of Cutler. Which is a worry.

Cutler's surly, Luck's just focused.

Defending the saviour already, Elth? I haven't seen any of the preseason stuff, so I hope for your sake that he's doing ok. Mike&Mike seemed to think on their show this week he was looking very decent indeed. Let's hope he doesnt get too many hits too early and loses any spark he has.

I like Cutler too, but I don't see a comparison. Luck's had rave reviews for his personality ever since he hit college. Maybe Cutler did too, but he's always struck me as terse. Which I completely understand, I'd probably be the same if I had to put up with the level of stupid shit these guys get. Luck looked calm in the first pre-season game and he made some good throws without any mistakes. He's got good zip on his arm and he's already got really good pocket awareness. He'll still struggle with the speed of the NFL proper to begin with, and I think RGIII will have a better first season, but so far Luck's done everything right. Won't stop the Colts coming last in the AFC South, mind, but we really need some more high draft picks to rebuild the offensive line so that's OK.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to troll our resident Colt. Luck just isn't smooth or natural.
He may be completely different in interviews / one on one with staff and I don't think it'll make any significant difference to his career - he's still going to be a great player.
He's just going to be difficult to love.

I personally have no problem with rookie QBs struggling to get to grips with the speed and ferociousness of the big boys league. You can probably get away with it more in the other positions, but with QB, it's more noticeable.
I also agree with who will have the better first season, RG3 has more of a team around him.

Luck seemed pretty confident in his QB School with Gruden on ESPN and the team were so dreadful last year that he's got a big book of blank cheques to work with and if he wins Indianapolis will love him regardless.
I also don't see the connection to Cutler - Cutler was always aloof and slightly distant. Luck reminds me more of someone like Eli. He seems a bit goofy and "different" but not in a detrimental way.

Dolphins continue their project of trading away all of their good players by sending Cornerback Vontae Davis to Indianapolis for a second rounder next year and a conditional pick.

Watching the awful Jets, the third string Jets QB actually looked like he could be the best the Jets have to offer. Which has to be a concern.
On the bright side, maybe Tebow can now play in a position where he can make an impact - like LB.
Meanwhile Kolb fulfils his potential by sitting on a bench. Those draft picks for a clip board holder (no matter how 'professionally' he took it) have got to leave a mark.

Ultimate in wishful thinking coming from a Jets fan after his team scored one offensive touchdown in four pre-season games... The Jets didn't show anything on offense in all four preseason games, and, if you're a Jet fan, you have to believe this was by design. How exactly do you game-plan against them? It's hard to know.

That has to be El Presidente. He comes in here and gives it the shoutyness, then goes somewhere else and plays it sneaky.
We're onto you, Pres....
