I'm just not a big fan of dominance in any sport. So after the Jets won the last three Superbowls it's nice to see them get knocked off the top a bit.
Outside of that I'm enjoying watching Buffalo's expensive defence.
It's not as if watching the Dolphins could hold anyone's interest.

Hartline, eh? Will the Bears give him $100M for four years next summer?

I don't know what's up with Hartline. He's Deceptively Quick™, but it must be something like a definite step up in route precision or something. I've seen him catch a lot of back shoulder sideline stuff, which is about body control, so I'm going to guess he's just tidied up a bunch of little things that you can't see from the couch.
Davone Bess is still the poor man's Wes Welker and that's about it - unlike most rookie QBs, Tannehill isn't relying on the Tight End.
It doesn't hurt having the best run defence in the league. Cincinnati put something like 80 total yards on us yesterday and that put the average yards allowed up.
We'll need that against New England's new 1972 style offence.

"I think Miami are legitimately not terrible." - Bill Simmons on the BS Report. I'll take that.

I know I shouldn't say this, but it's kinda good to see them having something positive happen to them after so much pap.

Most of which was brought upon themselves, of course.
The one proper regret I have from the last few years is that Pennington didn't get more time. His shoulder has been made of wet noodles for years, so it was hardly surprising, but it would have been good to see him have a proper swansong to his career, because he was just such a good player, who made the most of what he had.

And now Peyton Manning is the king of the noodle armed QBs. Who'd have thunk it?
I'd be happier about how the Colts are travelling were it not blatantly obvious that they're a Reggie Wayne injury away from going 0-12 the rest of the season. Luck's got the potential, but he's winning games because Wayne is making multiple circus catches more than anything. Can't see that lasting.

My heart bleeds for you.
Still! After the first posession for each team on Monday I thought the Jets were going to lose by 40. Instead, they sort of vaguely hung around while never, ever having a chance to win. So there's that!

Terrible article on NFL.com about it being the end of Sanchez. To help their case they highlighted the fact that he's having the worst 5 game stretch (in terms of accuracy) for a QB ever.
What they neglect to mention is that if you ignore their arbitrary "thrown more than 100 passes" there are dozens of QB's who have had awful stretches of games with far higher turn over rates...and then Tebow.
That the backup to Sanchez is the least accurate starting QB of the last 30 seasons is rather telling. He also made how many completions in pre-season against backup defences?
I love NFL.com for its occasional brain fart articles.
Now they just need to do another one about Kolbs resurgance into mediocrity.

Brady and Seahawks' corner Richard Sherman were chirping at each other yesterday and, leading 23-10 Brady told Sherman to "come see me after the game." So he did. And posted this to his twitter.

We sucked. SHerman played well, he deserved the chirp TBH
We had many opportunities to win this game, so I was very annoyed going to bed last night. Even I could see what was going to happen on the winning TD. When they went to the huddle, I'm thinking "they're going long, it's so obvious, he's geeing them all up". Sack Billy, get me in there.

The one thing the Seahawks have got are some tall-ass receivers to help out Wilson. His accuracy doesn't have to be perfect, he just has to make sure he aims high.

And they have some very good defenders, big lads as well.
In related news, the more I see of Brandon Spikes the more i'm liking him. He's got a nasty streak and that's not a bad thing if it;s managed properly.

I enjoy watching Peyton Manning fail as much as the next guy. But there's not much sweeter than watching Flip Rivers melt down. He's like the worst parts of Tim Tebow and Jay Cutler rolled up together into a single massive douchebag.

Nice to see you, El Pres before the most hugest big game of the year month week when your lot take on my lot. I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to it. Our secondary is poor and you have Mark Sanchez.

That one's at least as much on the coaches as it is Rivers, though. If the Chargers had just run the ball and killed the clock, Denver probably would have run out of time for it's comeback. Instead they let Rivers go into full meltdown. Crazy. It's like Norv Turner doesn't really know what he's doing.

I winced when Sanchez got sacked at the end of regulation, making their field goal attempt 10 yards longer... he was lucky Folk made that one.
He had one of his better games yesterday, which hopefully means he'll be back to being garbage in his next game against whoever he's playing there...
The end of the Giants-Racists game was ridiculous.

I winced when they put him in the bloody shotgun on 3rd and 2 inside the 10 yard line against a New England defence who hadn't stopped the run all day.
The more you change your idiot offensive coordinator, the more your stupid offensive coordinator stays the same.

Has the NFL ever sent a good matchup to London?
They could show Vince Wilfork vs a baby for 3 hours and it'd be better than this.
