I am so busy I met myself going the other way this morning.
What's worse is that I gave myself a job.
Sheesh.

I walked into a war zone this morning. There was bodies everywhere and all I wanted was quiet morning. I think I've woken up from that dream before in a cold sweat.

I'm on call this week and I walked into 3 wrongly reported severity 2 defects against our system, With sev 2 and sev 1 defects, it's a case of drop everything, even sleep, and work your bollocks off until they are fixed, at the same time giving hourly updates to the customers.
Every single defect reported was down to dick-head customer stupidity, sometimes I wish customers could sit opposite me whilst I wielded a 25lb lump hammer around their heads. Instead the customer will be billed for wasting our time. The customer being a support centre who is supposed to filter out the easily answerable stuff.
The best of the lot was one new user who couldn't log into the system. System logs were searched for hours looking for clues, none found. I went back to the help desk and asked if they were certain he was going through the correct process, Oh yes they said we've checked all that. I asked them to call the customer back and talk him through the logon process, including the bit where you click the I Accept button rather than the I Decline on the terms and conditions acceptance page. He's definitely done that they claimed, well just take him through it step by step says I.
Ten minutes later I get a call from the help-desk to say the customer had been declining to accept the terms and condition. FFS! Sometimes it's the obvious that has gone wrong, I should have checked but I trusted the support centre, whose staff have worked for years on this type of thing, to filter this sort of crap out.

I blame the French. I was in meetings most of yesterday and for the rest of this week I shall be trying to clear my (virtual) in-box of work, so that I can have a nice relaxing week off next week. Except that it won't be, it never is. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I still blame the French.

This morning of was an encore performance, except wiht double the bodies. It all stems from not enough collaboration when a room was remodeled, leaving two ladies to climb over each other in a room that is really only big enough for one.

It looks like an excerpt from Meej's autobiography. It can't be, there's not enough hair in it.
