Well two days after playnig for the U18s, my manager neglected to tell anyone that he was going to arrange a friendly and throw all the bairns in. He played me as a DC (?) and I scored a 4 in our 12-0 defeat against a decent side who played all their starters.
I'm not a bunny of happiness, TBH, I'm nowhere near resembling a DC in any shape or form.

Mr Hawkes is now :
Tackling - 3 Positioning - 3 Technique - 2 Short Passes - 1 Game Vision - 1 Heading - 1 Dribbling - 1 Speed - 2 Stamina - 4
Also, my manager still hasn't noticed that my contract is going to expire at the end of this season and I'm going to be able to go elsewhere for nothing shortly. He offered me a contract earlier this season, but I turned it down because he offered me less money than some new one-skill player who'd joined and he hasn't got around to sending a new deal, which is fine for me.

I've had one pop:
Jarrin Carr
Short Passes 2 Tackling 2 Long Passes 2
This weekends game was lost 1-0 at home. I rated 6.
I've also sent a message to the u18's manager to see what comes of it in regards to moving to a human managed club. It will have to depend on the offer, and so I'll have to wait and see. Wages and training will probably be my big two things. I've settled on what type of player I want to be, and now it's a case of getting to it. I'm going to be a passing player, a lynch pin in the midfield. Hopefully.

I think our manager is Pops. Our latest formation is 3223 but with fullbacks. If you move the fullbacks in, push the centre back up and move the wingers in then it's FUaDtWM right there. This week we drew 3-3. As a defender I can't say I'm impressed. Wish I was a forward now.
I can see I'm really going to have to fight to become a DC after my day's worth of training moved me to DC on Wednesday I slipt back to DLC by gameday, got played at fullback and I'm now listed as a DL again. Fook. Maybe I can switch nationality.
My stats are pretty crap but I have to have 2 fitness days a week to make up for the fact that I'm playing games and have crap stamina. I've considered using less effort in the games but then you don't get as much game experience.
Tackling 3 Positioning 3 Short passes 1 Stamina 4 - so I can keep on running around being crap for longer. Speed 1 - so I can do so very, very slowly.

I've quit my club and have put in an offer to another club for $2500 for two years after I received a message saying if I did, he would put me in this Thursday's friendly. Looks like I'll be becoming a wingback. Oh, I forgot to mention that my prospective new boss would also be my National Manager. I now have access to both the u18's and if things go well today, the National squad :cab:
That's not to bad, as it has similar stats to my midfield position I want. I'm training fitness for two days too Narkle, and I think I really need to plumb for stamina training. It might be better to start on the stamina training as it drops quite quickly.
I think it also takes 2 years before you can switch nationality. They passed something on it just recently.

It has gone through, and I'm now playing with the #1 Nationally rated player in Australia. Stage 2 of my career begins.

I forgot to tell you about the Speed pop a few days ago, but it appears I popped Positioning overnight, so that's nice.
I also played as a DMC in a friendly last night which we lost 2-1, but their team had some 18 and 19 yos in there, so obviously had better skills. I rated a 6, which I am very pleased with. Looking at the commentary, it looks like I didn't do a lot wrong.

I've had one pop: Jarrin Carr Short Passes 3Tackling 2 Long Passes 2 I've just played in a friendly as a DL. We lost 6-0 away. I even had my name mentioned in the match highlights. I was trying to control a ball. I controlled a ball. It seems soon after that it ended up with the other teams DL soon after. No idea what happened between. I rated a 5, and didn't make any of the 8 tackles or 1 header went in for. I also committed on foul, but made 6 of my 8 passes. Well I know what I've got to build on now ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Bad training by your manager. The fitness should be together

The manager shouldn't be training fitness at all. it just wastes team training for the people who don't need fitness at that time.
You can either train down to 70% and then back to 100 through three fitness in the same day, (regardless of what the team is training), or down to 82% and then back to 100 through two fitness back-to-back on the same day (which lets you use the third slot to do something else).
I'm trying to do 100-82-100 as much as possible.

I had a match today, hence why I trained just before, and just after; and so I trained in the morning taking me back up to about 94%. The team training was Game Vision. I decided to do the next two slots. After the game my fitness had fallen to 85%, so I changed the last slot and the next slot in tomorrows to fitness, to push me right back up. I'm now going to be training positioning until Sunday I think, and then more fitness. What I do next will depend on what the team training is. Most likely I'll do tackling though. That or position.

A question regards to training: Does the cumulative effects of training only occur on the same day? Or, can it be any three training sessions in a row?

Only on the same day.

Bugger. What I've been doing is if I pop a stat, I'll change the rest of the days training to something else(fitness for example) and pump that up a little. It's working ok so far. I really need some stamina.

It's not a terrible idea, but that works better if you're on a bot team, where training is at 85% regardless.
Team training when you pick something other than what the rest of the team is doing is only at 75%*, which means you're doubly damaging yourself by losing the three-in-a-row bonus and only training at 75%
*When you train the same as everyone else it's 100% effective.

That's a bugger. It looks like I'll have to focus on the team training when it is there, and any other day do other training when it isn't. Tomorrows set of team training is GK orientated, which means I'm Fitness training ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Monday, Tuesday and maybe Wednesday will be tackling which is Long, driblbing and short. Thursday is Gay vision. I'm thinking about fitness that day. I might do stamina instead and do the fitness on wednesday. This training malarky can be annoying at times. More annoying is the bloody morale. Apparently if you keep your teammates at 100% or close to that, you don't need use the 'have fun' training option.

Aye - Homer has his team friendship rating up to 60% now, with most players on the team at 100% and I haven't used having Fun for 28 days now.
If I remember rightly a simplistic version is that the morale bonus is somewhere around a half of your team realtionship, which will explain why my morale has stalled, because I'm getting +30% and then losing 28% (1% per day for each day since your last having fun).
My third slot today is "Having Fun" so my morale should start to jump again after today.
