Has the paint dried yet, or are you still selecting the colour of the handbag, I mean curtains. Ahem.

Aye, it's well over a month since due date. What's going on? How long is paternity leave out there? I assume he'd have more important things to do at home than post here about stuff, and I guess he won't be back at work yet. But you think he'd post at least something to let us know how things went...

According to his member profile, he last logged onto the forum on 24th October - last week. But his last post was on 24th September. That's last month, time-summary-fans.

I was worried about the Narks long before it was popular!

Fear not, Narkle fans. I'm alright but just a leettle bit busy with this and (mostly) that. Hey, is this what it's like for Hornet when he disappears off the face of the earth for months on end?
We (well mostly Mrs Nark, it has to be said) had a little baby daughter, Anna, and everything went incredibly smoothly and stuff and then I've been deprived of Interynet access and, erm, other stuff. Busy, busy, busy. That's me. Busy. Oh yes.
As is traditional I would now post a piccie of Anna. But unfortunately the pics are in a restricted area on the Interynet and I can't be arsed imageshacking one. Just look at the pictures of 8108 when he was little and they're pretty much the same to be honest. Because, after all, you've saved pics of the 8108 when he was a month old, haven't you.
So that's that. Must dash again.
Moo's a cunt.

Good news, Narkle. Glad to hear all is going smoothly, even if you're as busy as a Narkle. Thanks for keeping us posted, as ever we (the Narkle fans) hang on your every word.
Now go and change that nappy. I hope you're using reusable ones.

Good to hear that all is well Nark. It sounds as if you need a gazebo break to get over the busy busy busy spell though. :checkit:

He's right, though, and it hasn't been mentioned for a while. I'm glad he brought it up, to be honest.

I blame the release of Hearts of Iron 2. In fact, I think he logged in to rant about it and then saw this topic and suddenly realised the house had been not as crowded as usual for quite several weeks now.

HoI2 has been out since before 8109 was even conceived, I think.
If he'd been playing it solidly since release day he might just have micro-managed his way through the first year by now though.

Oh is that out, what's it Like Nark? I don't know what the developer was thinking. Instead of adding lots of flashy features he's actually worked on improving the AI and stuff. Still not perfect but it makes single player actually worth playing. It will never catch on, I tells yeh. Oh and I was worried about me waaaaaay before anyone else here was.

I tried the demo and it crashed 10 minutes into the second exhibition game.

Ha! It can sense that you have no intention of parting with good money for it so it's just pissing you off.
Mine hasn't crashed once not on the demo or the real thing.
I suspect it might have something to do with your default web-browser or some such nonsense.

Probably, I give it another go over the weekend or today even. The money parting may be after christmas when I part with a bigger wodge on a new laptop.

I am about to become very rich indeed when we sell our house next week. There are many, many things with my beady eye on them. Speaking of which... I am toying with the notion of a new graphics card. One that will let me play Rebel Commando, so it needs pixel...somethings. Any suggestions? Serious ones. And I'm not spending serious cash on one (i.e over £150)
