Will do Moo. They certainly need a boost in the coaching department, the three they have are worse than the ones I had at Fjolnir. They also need some more depth to the squad. Preston are currently 10th in the Championship with 18 games played, so have every chance of promtion or even relegation. :humb:

As you can see, I haven't updated my Hungarian story for a while, I played my Toon save last week. Didn't get very far, I'm in Feb of 2nd season.
First season finished in 8th, managed to scrape into InterTwoBob Cup. Almost sold Michael Owen in the summer before the WC started, but decided to hold on until after, see what happened. He got top scorer and player of tourney, despite England only getting to SFs, beaten by Italy who went on to win, IIRC.
Second season, currently 5th, slipped from 3rd and now won't get that back after some bad results. I still have a chance of 4th though. I've kept Mickey, he's scored 32 in 24 games this season, which is nice. I managed to sell James Milner, who along with fellow returned loanee Viana ahve been awesome on the wings. Milner went to Chelsea for 25m+10m after 10 lge apps + 20m on 1 international cap +20% sell on. Bargain. I bought some Argentinian speed merchant from Seville who was top scorer in La Liga then Fat Freddie got involved. He said at the start of the transfer window that he wanted some big name players brought in and had a list. Uh-oh, I thought. I didn't need anyone really, I hd a very balanced squad, if anything one striker too many, butI was trying to put that right. So what did the fucknut do? He bought a striker from Monaco, Chevanton, the Uruguayan, who isn't all that. And to boot, paid 15m Euros for him. So I'm struggling to get Chevanton, Argie (name escapes me!) and owen into the same side as they're all speed merchants and Shola, Torghelle (ex Palace hungarian) and Derek Riordan the tall fellas. I haven't mentioned Chopra who is banging them in for the reserves.
Nice feature though. Just that Fat Freddie is an asshat.

Chevanton bagged a hat-trick in the Uruguayan 3-0 win over my Venezuelan outfit. We had no answer to him, and now I find he's a closet Geordie, the bostord. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Aye, but he wasn't wanted. I'll sell him in the summer for a loss, something Fat Freddie is used to. :checkit:

Just a quick update regarding Preston, A few scouts and coaches are got onboard and the training improves. A 2-1 win at Millwall followed by a 4-2 win at home to Swansea, which propels us 4 places up the table into the playoff places. Having said that Leeds who are on the same points and one place below us have a game in hand against Derby who are one place above us but 2 points better off. So it's a good start, and I've raided Fjolnir to grab Darned Critter and Sky Train who both should join in the January window I couldn't afford the players I really wanted. ![](http://www.geocities.com/jacquesdebohun/smilies/grin.gif) As for future signings, I'll rely on the scouts turning decent players up. As for Fjolnir they got humped 7-0 at home by Arsenal in the final LAC group game, Anelka got three and Reyes scored 4. Fjolnir finished bottom of the group by 1 point, Sporting were 3rd. Leeds won the game in hand so we dropped back to 7th place.

I also bought them for less than they were valued at, theoretically, I suppose I they are sold on for a fortune then I might end up paying more than they were worth. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

That back pass one is a nutter too. I've now 25M+ to spend, and have another 5M coming in next season, but can't attract the good looking ugly twins wart off the left side of Jupitor's buttocks. Actually, I can attract the opposite which isn't what I want at all. Plus, my best players are coming up on a contract at the end of the following season and if they don't want an improved contract now, they'll not want one at the end of the season. The good news is that I'm flogging my only tall striker to West Ham for 2M and at the age of 32(by that time), it's a good deal. I'm also playing with babies, an 18yr DL, DC, and ML, not to mention a 20yr SC, a 23yr DMLC, a 23yr D/DMRC. The vultures are circling, as I've already lost the next Ronaldo. One more go in Europe, and I've had my best result so far, drawing 0-0 against Inter at my place. It was the worst game I've seen, and I wouldn't have wnated to spend money to see it.

Didn't you do something like that in a game we were swapping around? Moo, Fat Freddie's now become used to making a profit on players, Milner being the example. Have Chelsea chucked him in the reserves and put a lower price on him yet?

Not yet, but I won't be bothered if they did. I already have 45m from the deal, there's 10m after 10 league games on my way if they play him and then there's the sell on fee, which will be nice.

Well the first month at Preston is over and things have been a struggle due to the squad lacking any depth whatsoever. Still we remain undefeated, our first two wins were followed by a 1-1 draw at Luton, we then had a couple of home wins; 2-0 against Swansea and 4-1 against promotion seeking Ipswich. The injuries started to kick in and a run of three 1-1 draws followed, away at Leicester, home to West Ham and away at 2nd placed Hull. We are now desperate for the transfer window to open to get my new signings in to shore up our ever decreasing squad.
We are currenty in 6th place, holding onto the last playoff spot by a whisker.

January is now out of the way, we started month with athumping 3-0 home win against Doncatser in t he league. That was followed by a 1-0 home win against QPR in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. QPR were then disposed of 2-0 away in the league. The winning run in the league continued with a 1-0 home win against Sheffield Wednesday. Then a challenge, a home game against Manchester City in the 4th Round of the FA Cup, we drew it 1-1 even though they dominated. January was rounded off with the potential start of a plummett, a 2-1 away defeat against Sunderland. :moop: we conceded the winner with 3 minutes left to play, though to be honest we didn't deserve any points after our first half performance. Still despite the loss we are now 3rd in the league, 2 points behind 2nd placed Hull and 8 behind the leaders Birmingham. The loss didn't do a lot of harm as outher results went our way, though Wigan drew level with us on points. ![](http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/2172/prestonleague2ll.jpg) Fjolnir have been raided by all and sundry for their best players, Ingenious Variable went to Lille (I think) BMX Flyer was the target of a number of EPL clubs but he eventually went to Udinesse for £1.1M, Middlesbrough had offered £2.4M. We've took Extreme Santa and Famous Nick off their hands too, though I think they will only be fringe players here.

![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Boo, no Plummett, only Promotion™ is looking likely, even if Birmingham are a bit ahead, second is easily attainable. All you need is some depth. Then we can sit back and watch a humping in the Prem :humb: ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Eight points behind with 15 games to go, Sonic, I'm sure Coffers can catch the leaders. Do you have to play Brum in the run in, Coffers? If so, there's three points gained straight away. I reckon 1st is in the bag already.
I'm off to buy the Champagne....

February was a great month in the league but not so great in the cup. We started the month with a 3-1 home win against Wolves, which didn't start very well, my normal tictacs seem to be struggling in certain games in the Championship so I swtched to a 4-4-2 system that stopped the Wolves attacks deadish in their tracks and gave us a goal or two to build on. Keeping the 4-4-2 we then travelled to Citeh, for the the round FA Replay, we were 2-0 down by halftime. Juggling passing styles etc. got us a goal back. we equalised from the penalty spot with the last kick of the 90 minutes. Only to go down 3-2 in extra time. Next up was a 2-1 away win at Wigan using the 4-4-2 formation. Switching back to 4-1-2-2-1 we beat Reading 2-1 at home, then away at Crewe we won 3-1 starting on 4-1-2-2-1 and finishing on 4-4-2. The month was wrapped up with a 4-2 win at Stoke using 4-4-2, which seems to work for us away from home and against the stronger team in the division. The other formation is ok at home especially against the lesser teams, but I'm moving more in favour of the 4-4-2 these days. On the international scene Venezuela humped Martinique 4-0, utilising the newly developed Preston tictacs. As for League the table looks very healthy: ![](http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/4479/prestonleague2oo.jpg)

And then a 2-0 home win against Sheffield on TV put's us within a point of Birmingham who drew 0-0 at Wigan. Leeds away is next.
