When is Euro 2008 starting anyway?
All the British based football websites seemed to forgot it's going on this year. And the only other one I know calls it "soccer" so we know they probably don't understand the game.

I think I've got the end result right every time but have been too optimistic about the number of goals. (except by the Geese thanks to their late second goal, the bosteeds)! Anyway, tonight should right the ship on that point.
I'm happy to report that I've only seen about 80 minutes of football in total so far. And what I have seen has been shite.

Narkle, you've almost seen as much as I. I got the ignominy of only having most of the games on some cable network, one even the local bars don't have. I think. Though if they were open at that time is another thing all together. The next free to air game is on Wednesday morning, Spaia v's the Russian's.
The only game I've seen fully was the Cheese and Czechers.

Could have been worse. I've seen one full game, two most-of-a-games and one on delayed-fast-forward-to-the-goals-as-I-had-inadvertently-seen-the-result.
Portugal looked quite handy; Germany had some lovely forward play, but look shaky at the back; Poland need a bit more belief as they have some gifted players; the Czechs look a shadow of their former selves; Turkey are keen and skilful, but lack cohesion and discipline; Switzerland were actually quite competent, but no cutting edge; Croatia and Austria I can't really comment on.

I think I've seen about 30 minutes in all, the last 20 of the Austria game and 10 of the German game.

Coffer and Hornet look like pulling away from us by the looks of things.

I see that I got 9 points for phase 1a, but phase 1b is likely to be a disaster.

I haven't got a clue Pops, All I can see is the image that says the image has been moved or deleted. I worked out my points so far by checking the PM I sent to Moo.
Moo: sort out the duff image please.

That's a bit harsh, coffs. He's a Geordie, remember. They need the flat caps and bashed-in face look.

Apart from the Germany-Poland game I've picked 2-0 where it should have been 1-0 and 1-0 where it should have been 2-0. Why on earth I didn't just predict 1-0 wins in all games I was expecting a win is is beyond me.
4 points for me.

I just realised I'd be gone next week and only will be back for the semi's. I think I will have to blindly guess the score of the quarter-finals just like how Pop does with his predictions.

What can Sonic see that we can't? The colours? I think he needs to stop licking toads. I didn't see any games on Saturday, but I watched all of the AusCro and GerPol games. Austria were surprisingly lively, although Pogatetz looked likely to get sent off but the game was pretty dull, because Croatia don't seem to have a front line, or they didn't know how to deal with three at the back. Germany Poland was decent, although Poland didn't really threaten as much as their buildup deserved. I did get to watch a bunch of my PES career mode team though, as Ivanschitz, Vastich, Podolski, Boruc and Tungsten Fringe are all regulars for me on PES6.

Aside from expecting Switzerland, Croatia and Poland to all score a goal more than they did, I was spot on.
Bum.

These were my predictions for phase 1a. The Czechs screwed me for a clean sweep.
Switzerland 0 v 0 Czech Republic Portugal 2 v 0 Turkey Austria 0 v 1 Croatia Germany 2 v 0 Poland

Good shout, coffffmeisterrrrr.
I had Switzerland 1 v 1 Czech Republic Portugal 2 v 0 Turkey Austria 0 v 2 Croatia Germany 2 v 1 Poland
Didn't trust the Czechs not to concede and I thought the Poles had a goal in them (which they did, only it was disallowed).

Tritto.
Meanwhile, one of the worst offside decisions e-e-e-ever. there against the Italians.
The second goal was nice though.
