I think Aaron Rogers is still traumatised by the thought of the Niners calling his name.

Also worth remembering that the Niners are the folks who passed on Aaron Rodgers to take Alex Smith. Alex Smith would have benefitted from more time on the sidelines learning the game (aside from on IR) than in it. Whoever picks Stafford or Sanchez really needs to be looking 3 years down the line of development - and less at what Matt Ryan achieved.

Jesus. 2 1sts, Kyle Orton for Cutler and a 5th?
Have they never played Madden? They need only offer a 36 year old MLB and a 6th rounder to get Cutler and a higher ranked 6th round pick in return. Silly.

Bargain, to be honest. Especially if they can find him an NFL-quality receiver to throw to next year.
On the other hand, the Broncos are proper fucked. They now have approximately one good player left on the offensive side of the ball.

Brandon Marshall must be thrilled.

As if Brandon Marshall's even paying attention. He'll show up to training camp and ask where Cutler is, and who the gimp throwing the ball is.

Just checked nfluk.com and they have said that the evil Sky empire aren't showing the NFL Draft live next weekend, they're showing a highlights package only on the Sunday. The "good" news is that the nfl.com website will be streaming it live, so we can all try to watch it then as it'll be really easy to get on the site.

What time and date will that be at Moo? I'm at a weeding in Halifax next weekend so probably won't be able to connect to the net anyway. I presume you mean 25th/26th April?

Yes, Sat 25th at 8:30pm BST, the highlights are on Sky Sports at 8am Sunday morning, with three repeats through the day, but I'm not sure what time they were. Saturday is for rounds 1 and 2, with rounds 3-7 on Sunday starting earlier, I think it was 4pm BST but I'm not sure.

I'd have to go on the internet as I refuse to subscribe to Sky.

The Onion Sports TV had a spot the other day saying that now the Bears have Jay Cutler, they're going to improve their receiving corps by signing an old tyre ropeswing.

Hopefully, I won't be disturbed by kids/wimmin on Saturday night and will be tuned into the NFL Draft live on nfl.com on tinterwebz. I look forward to seeing the Patriots moving up the board to sign Rey Maluaga and then trading him to New Joisey for some video tapes.
GL to all in the draft process, except the Jets, Bills and Dolphins.
BTW, reading an interesting article on the NFL site where the "experts" have divvied up the teams between them and become GM of those teams for the day and tried to figure out what the draft would be. Ianterestingly, Rich Eisen, him of the 40 second 40 yd dash, had the Lions at #1 and chose Curry. The Seahawks then chose Sanchez and Matthew Stafford, projected by many to be #1 slipped to #10 and the Niners. I thought it was harsh that he has to go there.

The new Patriot era at the Chefs has started, as they've traded away Tony Gonzo to the Falcons for a 2nd rounder... next year.
Watch out of the Chefs stockpiling picks in next year's draft.

The Bairn is a fan of the Falcons and he's unsurprisingly happy about that trade.
Is braylon Edwards traded on draft day, d'ya think?

He was and did a good job.
However, Fozzie Bear's stint as Free Safety for the Chicago Bears didn't go so well.

Stafford? The most guaranteed money of any player in NFL history? Before he's taken a snap?
O RLY?

And people were surprised when Sanchez left early. This rookie cap is going to be sorted out very shortly, especially if we have an uncapped year, so why not come out while the money is silly?
From the bits and pieces I saw this year Stafford didn't look anywhere near as NFL-ready as Matt Ryan either. He looked like a quality college passer, but Ryan had something beyond that.
I'm sure the Loins will ruin him, either way.

Yeah, get your monies whilst your monies getting is good.
Two RBs in three years in the first round, Indy? That Addai pick sure worked out well.

You're telling me. I've never seen someone cut and paste someone's name on MSN as quickly as that.
In other news, the Patriots drafted three DTs. I assume they'll weld them together to replace Vince Wilfork when he leaves next season.

I'm guessing you'll be go to work today just to shout "PAT WHITE!!!1!" to all the New England fans then?
