Neither Brighton nor Mark have much to do with it these days, it's more or less run by DM who actually delegates all of the running to an assorted bunch of gentlefolk I suspect you'd all think are fuck-knocks.
Henry's a mod now though, which is at least entertaining.

Henry is a mod? That's very funny. I might go over there and say that Tim Pat Coogan is a fenian fucknut. See what sort of reaction I get.

I'd imagine it'd be something along the lines of Alias!, and banned immediately for non-conformity. So, you know, the usual.

FM09 "confirmed" release date is 14th November. As it's a DVD, I can't buy it as I don't have a DVD player in my PC. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) (Unless they made it digital download for Europe this time..... I'll check)

I wholeheartedly oppose them making it digital download, as I'll probably crumble and get it then.

Sorry, Nark, but it is indeed available from Steam for the princely sum of $49.99 which works out as... errr... I dunno..... some beans.
[/Backadder 2]
They're also hosting the updates, patches, etc. Demo available at the end of this month.

Me either but that won't stop me.
Unless I get laid off, which is looking a (distant) possibility. In which case I won't be spending any money on anything other than bread and water. For the kids.

It's taken me...14 days, 17 hours and 48 minutes...to gain straight promotion to the Championship from the Blue Square South. How long is that now in 00/01 terms now?

More updates then:
* Football Manager 2009 and FM Handheld will both be released on November 14th * Again, the media area has been improved. More realistic press conferences will take place before and after games. You will also strike up relationships with journalists who will remember previous comments, which may come back to haunt you at some point.
# Female managers will NOT appear as regens (i.e in 10 game years time, you won’t see a female manager taking the reigns of Manchester United, unless they are human controlled players)
# ‘The assistant manager feedback itself has no effect on the outcome of a match since it is a passive module only making observations. Naturally the manager must decide on how he wants to react to the feedback and if he chooses to make changes based on the feedback, then it might have an effect on the match one way or the other. The purpose of the feedback is not to tell you how to win for sure, but rather how to improve your chances of winning matches and to give you more insight on what is happening on the pitch.’
# There are multiple camera angles for the 3d match engine
# Skin colour, hair colour, height & weight will be different for each player in the 3d match engine
# Likely to be DVD only (so computer users with no DVD drives are buggered)
# No direct stadium looks or crowds. There will be different types of stadium based on the size of the stadium, but that’ll be quite basic this year.
# Player ratings are ‘more accurate’ - rather than a player being a ‘8′ or a ‘7′ they can now be ‘7.2′, etc.

Have they got the mind-games nonsense sorted out yet? Have they bollocks. So why add more of the same Apparently coding in the ability to have a female manager took quite a lot of coding time. FOR FUCK'S SAKE! Hands up anyone who thinks anything useful and relevent is going to come out of this feedback stuff. That using the information they provide you'll be able to go into the tictac screen and change things so you'll play better against them. Thought not. Woo! Stuff any game with a 3d match engine has had since, erm, whenever 3d match engines started. See above. Good! Less chance of me buying it then That'll be fun then. Yes. Based on my most recent experiences with FM that is going to make things all the better. Instead of that why don't they just make the likes of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10 actually have a bit more relevence.

Or I. It's taking me forever to be promoted to the top flight in England. Usually the by the time I've put into a save game like I have in FM, I've had a season where I've won everything in the top flight, and also had my players winning International awards, and possibly managed a team or two in a major International tourney. Beggars belief that they haven't mentioned anything about speeding things up again. Why would they waste so much time coding in a female manager. The name should be enough. What a waste of time.

I'm astonished at you lot. I would have thought that an intelligent bunch of blokes as yourselves would be more sympathetic to the cross-gender people who enjoy Football Manager and SpInG should be applauded for making the text in the game gender-sensitive. Just because you aren't a faggot he/she cock-sucker, it doesn't mean you should disregard the feelings of those queer cunts that are.
