So, I have an hour and so in the office and then I'm orf. Christmas party the night and then orf darn sarf tomorrow. To my aunt's in Ayrshire for the weekend and then down to Suffolk to my lil bro's for Christmas. Back home on the 30th for Hogmanay (New Year in England is fucking pants, especially in the sarf sarf).
So have a good one, all. Pig out, fill up and be merriment personificated.
I may be back hovering around New Year. Off back out to South America on 8th Jan for a month too.
Take care all and enjoy.

You too Pops, have a good one.
We're trying to avoid all family as they're just too much grief. I'm working Mon-Wed both weeks but do have Friday 2nd off to nurse a hangover after an all-dayer on NYD. Kebab-tastic.
I'll still be spouting crap on here in the meantime though.

I'm incredibly hungover from increasingly drunken cricketing. It's amazing how funny people find the word "googly" when they're really drunk.
I think we should have got drunk first and then gone to play, as the game seemed to make more sense, the more booze was imbibed.
With this in mind I expect cricket to make increasingly more and more sense as the season goes on, because I'm drinking for two now.
Hopefully everyone else gets to imbibe appropriately and don't forget to get your lucky rabbit's foot for the trip to SA Pops.

What the others have said, with the addition of taking some lucky music with you too.
Coffers, how'd you draw that small straw?
No one wants to know about my holiday's, as yesterday was my last day until the first week in February. I'm not going anywhere except the beach, and maybe Canberra, but I need time away from work.
Have fun everyone :thumb:

Friday morning was my last work until Jan 5th, so I'm on a two week holiday! My first task is to buy a new car...

Coffers, how'd you draw that small straw? I drew it because I refused to do Chrismas Day and Boxing Day this year. Along with refusing to do the middle weekend. I actually got called out when I was on call last Christmas Day. They can fook right off next year, if I'm still in a job that is.

I see a pattern emerging there Coffers, and it's not a good one. It seems that no-one else is as competent as you, as in signs of trouble, your called. That or the others are bostords.

At least by doing New Years Eve & Day I get a 4 day stint 25th to 28th clear to enjoy myself with no worries of a call out. I was on call for New Years Eve/Day at the turn of the millenium, which was great because I picked up £400 for doing sweet FA. Our software had been fully tested against the so called millenium bug and there was no danger of a call out because there was no one working in the company we were supporting at that time. The only thing I'm likely to get called out for is a failed batch job and that's usually a case of me saying, oh just reboot the machine and start the batch again.

Well fair enough then. It does mean you can't drink though, right?
Edit - yes it does. I've read the other thread.

I know some of you have little ones, and kids, and for those intersted in tracking where Santa is at the moment, then go to Norad Santa and you can see where he is. There are also videos of him travelling and stuff. The kids will love it.

The twins went to see Santa on the Llangollen Santa Express on Saturday; Aaron cried and Lewis gave Santa a look as if to say "if you come near me mate, I'll rip your beard to shreds and bite your fingers off to boot".

That's a hell of an idea. What are the bottles, as it would be hard to keep beer cold if that is what it is. That must have cost a little bit if it's anything else. Unless it fell off the back of a truck.

He mean's it's not Purple or something.
Astra's are decent car's I've always liked them though the new buggers are overpriced for what they are.
