This is why I could never be a good gambler. In other news though, I did back the winner on the National. Well, I say "I", it was Sam. And I did chicken out and put a quid on e/w rather than lump it on, but as I did buy him some sweets for winning me all that cash, we're all winners really.

You don't even win if the diffuser cars are hoofed out under appeal Moo. I looked at the start time for sunday's race, saw that it was late to make it better for the European audience and thought "that's going to rain then", which is why I didn't have a sniff of the F1. Though I might have been tempted if there were place bets.
