Biggleswade Coastguard Hut That makes me smile. It reminds me of a guy I worked with when I lived in Basingstoke; he was a member of the Teignmouth Coastguard volunteer unit. He got all upset when they threw him out, on the grounds that; he couldn't respond to a callout in the required timeframe. Daft thing was he was a computer programmer who worked day in day out with logic problems, but he just couldn't see the logic behind their reasoning.

I've been to Biggleswade. Quite a few times - it's near my folks' house in Bedfordshire. Anyway, it's nowhere near the coast, so I guess any coastguards there don't have that much to do. Maybe I should apply, ask for a laptop, and play FM all day.....

Thankfully they were shut. And I'm not sure that I could have moved winos that were sitting on the step to get to a battered sausage anyway.

Aaarrrrr aaarrrr jimlad. Virtual drives. Daemon tools. Hidden virtual drives. Mounting images. Anyone? Sure. Cheers. Boing. Honestly- two versions of Daemon, two types of "hiding" software and not a minute's gameplay on BF2 or Sims 2 (I promised the kids). Bah. Oomboog. Etc. I have been playing CoD2, though. Interesting. Graphically a lifetime ahead of it's ancestor, but a little stumblier on the gameplay. Not as in stumbly graphics, but changes to the actual method of play, such as wounds, aid, grenades etc. None of which really advance the game. Why change what worked? But then, maybe I just need to get into it a little further. I can't seem to find a Quicksave option, which is the most annoying point so far. But getting into it.

I've got waaaaaaay too many games to play at the moment. Which is unrelated to the theoretical eyepatch-theme of the thread. Natch.
I've not even installed BaaBaa Invasions, which should give you some idea. Did have a whale of a time with Lego Star Wars, though. I'm just a child at heart, really.

DC was playing Lego Star Wars on Sunday morning at CotD III, just before he buggered off home.
I bought ICC2005 late last year, and haven't even opened it from it's wrappings yet. And I've barely touched Sim City 4 since I started playing it late last year. FM2006 has taken over my life, with a little bit of Super Monkey Ball and Cricket 2005 on Ellie's xbox which happens to be living in my bedroom at the moment...

While we're on the subject of games... remember when Rome: Total War was announced, we all* said "I'm sure it'll be lovely and all, but the medieval setting is just more interesting than the Romans. Pity they can't just update the engine and keep the same time period, really." Well... www.totalwar.com/community/medieval2.htmI'm excited. No, really. No, REALLY really. *=Alright, me and meej.

It certainly does. But like hornet I haven't even opened my Barbarian Invasion expansion pack yet. In fact I unloaded Rome a couple of nights ago as I only had 500Mb left on my laptop C: drive.
I really am going to have to get my home PC sorted out.

Wow.
Dates?
I don't know why I'm asking- it's clear that my PC will shudder and die at the mere thought of such a game.
