There seems to be a shedload of silly goals in my story too, it must be a feature of this league. The other feature that is getting on my wick is the number of left sided defenders and midfielders available, there are shedloads, but Right sided players seem to be at a premium.
Anyhow,

Radniki (P) was ultimately a bitter game to sit through. CSK started positively and created chances that should have been put away, including one that somehow was saved like the ‘keeper was world class. Sassy Vicki showed his worth at the set piece in the 35th minute by once again knocking in a freekick. Once again CSK’s strikers showed the way to inflate the fans behind the visitors goal, which was paid back in kind by the (P) right on the break. Happy Youth was not. He was livid in the 61st minute when all his efforts to organize the team to find a goal for the lead was undone by a very poorly taken penalty. It was hit wide, and he was speechless. (P) settle, and were out of the stadium within 10 minutes, showers and all. I heard later that they had got a hose, lined up the players, sprayed them down and then gave them all towels. They dressed on the bus apparently.
The end of month thingys are announced, with Sassy Vicki pulling a surprise. He wins first in the goal of the round, his freekick for the edge of the area satisfying. The board also announce that they made another profit, this one being £528.
The next game was an away trip to Mladost(A), one which I was looking forward too. The mistress, I mean my personal trainer/exsepot had given me permission to be a bad boy. The first thing I noticed just before kickoff was why was there an arrow on the pitch? Oh, that’s why. A 33rd minute strike was from all of 30 yards out. Right after the break, within a minute of restart in fact, both my central defenders played a game. Simon says from what I recall of their explanation after the match. Unfortunately Simon, who I’m still trying to track down, didn’t say, which meant there was a bulge in the tent(and it wasn’t my tent either) :moop: If there was another way to make that smilie anymore that 7 minutes later, I’d use it. How can a GK be chipped from near the penalty spot? If you’ve ever seen it happen, can you show me please. That was the end of the madness, except for CSK’s stunning effort in front of goal, 1 of 6 from 54% of possession, the majority of it in the Mladost half, who somehow managed 4 of 11 shots on my goal. Hmm. It was a dire performance by Pivara in front of goal, as they had the majority of the possession but did bugger all with it, yes that’s right, they were buggered. I wish I’d prepared properly before this game, as the toilet paper, flares, fire crackers and various coins were sadly lacking. Next time I get permission, I’m refusing.
Youth exploded after the game, warning a bunch of players about their poor game, no matter that they were key players either, This Is My Sand Pit, Sassy Vicky, Very Sunny Cloudy Day and Doing Jenny, who all thought he was harsh. If they’d actually done something in the game, then they wouldn’t have had to worry about this. Eggshells were the order of the day around Youth after that.
It was reported that the first and the third goals of the CSK route won 1st and 2nd goals of the round :moop:
The game between Spartak(S) and CSK was a heavy weight clash and both sets of fans were looking forward to it. The Spartak(S) manager told the CSK manager that morale was high and that his side feared no-one. Sonic Youth, CSK’s manager, decided to hype’s up promotion, saying that whoever wins this game will be the winner of the league. What about a draw? There’s always one smartarse. There was a kind of shocked atmosphere around the club after the last game, and also a quiet determination too. This was necessary if anything was to be taken from the next game. Spartak(S) was that club that Youth was hoping were going to be the recipients of a confidence boost for CSK. Releasing A Virus got the team off to a fantastic start in the 2nd minute which was just the start CSK wanted, with Youth applauding from the sideline. All this early good work was undone in the 38th minute. Youth then spent most of the rest of the game gesturing and shouting at his players. He finally got them to do what they were paid to do, find the back of the net by working together, an 80th minute strike Doing Jenny looking like making himself a hero after his dismal appearance in the previous game. Oh for fucks sake, you’ve got to be kidding. No? That’s the reaction of the fans when almost from the restart, an 83rd minute equalizer was found by Spartak(S). Somehow my defenders were out run by a slower player, and my GK showed he was a pile of shite. That goal broke CSK’s back, and Spartak(S) settled for the draw. What was worse was that this result meant that Spartak(S) stayed first. On the day, they really didn’t deserve it.
The last result seemed to cast a pall over the club, and a miny spiral occurred. An undeserved one too. I witnessed two 1-1 results, Novi Sad (who had only one shot all game, and used it to get this equalizer, like they had been in the match at all) and Mladenovac (who were slightly more competitive than Novi Sad but were contained up to a point, that point was their only shot of 6 on target, but it came from a long ball from a freekick hit deep from within the Mladenovac half, saw my on loan DC Yuk, Yogourt! outjumped leaving their other forward a free run at the CSK goal). There was a trend between both games, and it was Yuk, Yogurt!, who has been at the heart of many off these conceded goals of late, and he’s only in because of an injury to Burning Lazarus which occurred in the 3 nil loss to Mladost(A). It should also be mentioned that the equalizer for both games came within 10 minutes of the goal scored by CSK, both of which were scored by Doing Jenny. That forward position I think is going to become a priority in the close season. Not to mention the defensive spot too.

In the meantime you posted another table whereby you've sold your cushions, bad move. :humb:
Still you should manage promtion from there with only 4 games to go. A little bit of better form should see you get the top spot too.

Tomorrow. I'll get the rest from home, and you'll find out tomorrow. Right now, I'm going to head home. I feel like crap, this stuffy head, nose and scratchy throat are killing me.
I'd like a cushion right now, though luckily I didn't sell the other one. It was annoying to lose the lead, as I'd worked so hard to get it.

What Coffers said.... So it's just me that's shite then? Maybe, but as you've said before, your attention to detail is a can't be arsed half the time thingy with this game, and if you did, you'd be finishing like we would. That's the impression I get from the way you play. It's in the little things like changing the players personal instructions upon substitutions and stuff like that. Tactics for different team, tactics used by them, or players within teams. Needless to say, I think Coffers does way more of this than I do.

My big thing with this game is that I wish I would score more. I struggle to have an average of 2.0 in most games but have a defense generally of about 0.7.

When you get home before you disappear to bed, pour yourself a decent splodge of whisky, bung a spoonful of honey into it and add some boiling hot water. Then sip until finished. It might not cure what you have but it'll make you feel a bit better. It works for me. Oh, you can add a drop of lemon juice into it too for the vitamin C hit if you like.

Oh I don't think I'd ruin a good whisky with such treatment, I'd only do that if it was the only whisky/whiskey I had. You probably won't notice the taste of the whisky so much with the honey and hot water mix, even less so with a splash of lemon.
PS whisky = Scotch. whiskey = Irish. Don't confuse the two it upsets the Scottish people and probably the Irish too.

CSK are starting to spiral. I’m not the only one, as it seems most of the club doesn’t have it’s head in the right place. Youth will soon be able to grow back his hair, as it’s almost the end of the season. It isn’t like they are playing poorly, just not finishing off the opportunities that are being created or gifted to them. So they come to the 36th game of the season, and it’s Bezanija visiting CSK. They soon wish they weren’t, as Happy As Larry opens the scoring in the 3rd minute. Very Sunny Cloudy Day doubles it in the 35th minute from a freekick. The lead is taken into the break, and you can feel a positive sort of tension about the way this game is going. There is a confidence starting to build in the team and this is expressed as a 54th minute goal by Releasing A Virus showed. The 59th minute brought a turning point to the game, and it was the first real showing of what the CSK fans, me included were expecting when we sat in the stands, a missed penalty, soon followed by a second yellow resulting in a red in the 66th minute to Going Crazy. Bezanija too advantage of this and pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute. Youth reacted and substitute Sat On A Cat restored faith to the CSK fans by restoring the 3 goal buffer with a strike in the 87th minute. Finally. It seems that not having the majority of possession brings more goals. That can’t be right. Out of the blue, there was this tent pitched on the field. Now you might thing that was an everyday sort of occurance, but this tent was bright purple, pink and yellow and had a trail of smoke leading up to the rising sun. It turned out that the club had aquired the services of I Am A Numbnut and he’d arrived in the middle of the night and luckily for him had prepared for not having the opportunity of finding accommodation that late in the night. I guess he is a little innocent as there is a trade in his sort of thing. See, the club did buy him. I think they expected him after all the games had been played for the season. I guess you could call this a bonus for Youth. Hah, the irony. The game against BASK dispelled that theory, but looking at the draws, it seemed to be what was occurring. At least in getting wins. I Am A Numbnut was slotted straight into the starting line-up. This game was all CSK, as Doing Jenny found the net in the 25th minute. He then dispelled the nerves of the CSK fans by doubling his tally in the 56th minute, while A Lot Of Trajectory rounded out the result nicely with finally a successful penalty in the 89th minute. CSK are still in 2nd spot, but only by a point. It all comes down to the last game, which CSK need to win to at least have a chance. The last game was against Sevojno. It was appalling, as CSK completely dominated. The unfortunate thing was that the players forgot that winning games meant attacking the oppositions goal. They had 59% of possession and only 1 of 6 attempts on target compared to the 1 of 4 that Sevojno enjoyed. Yes, that’s right, it ended in a 0-0 draw. What’s worse is that Spartak(S)’s game ended in a 1-1 draw! CSK only needed a goal and they would have won the league. Happy Youth was not. After this game, the season feels like it has been a missed opportunity and because of that, disappointing. Oh, and there is this set of screenies that really blows: :moop: That cost us first place as Spartak(S) drew. There was one positive to come from the game, and that was revealed in my newsletter, Flapping Bag Of Otters named in Team of the Week, and Third! in Team Of The Round too. The newsletter went down well with the fans as it also contained the round-up of the season giving pointers to Youth about the squad list. A cheeky satire. Kind off. Ok, I’m shite at that sort of stuff and I bag the squad when it’s needed. :cab:

The Round Up.
Those three words are not the sort of thing you usually air publicy in S&G, and their clubs especially. In this case it reveals that while no-one has been taken away, yet, a few CSK people were noticed. Sonic Youth was the first mentioned at the club as he was awarded 2nd place in the Manager of the Year awards. The second end of season thingy was the notice that only Very Sunny Cloudy Day made it into the team of the year, and in the starting side. The thing is that Very Sunny Day had the third best rating of all the players over 35 games and didn’t feature in the Player Of The Season(POTS). Doing Jenny I think should have been named as the 3rd placed Top Goalscorer of the Season as he had 20 goals as well, but also played 36(2) games in the season.
It was soon after this that 3 players decided that they were bigger than the club, and caused a buzz around it. It could not have been a worse three that could have been the ones to say this, Doing Jenny, Very Sunny Cloudy Day AND Burning Lazarus. I told them that they were staying, and that Youth was working to make this club bigger. Didn’t they notice that the club had just been promoted to the big time. Shite, that means that I’ll have more gazebo to do :moop: I think I’m going to have to ask for a pay rise. The responses to Youth’s were weird, backing down and not backing down at the same time. Hmm.
Where were we again? Right, the team round up. Gotcha.
Well start with the players.
Those that target practice with others. There are only 3 a the club, with This Is My Sandpit playing the majority of the season of the 3, while Miles Of Raincoat joined during the half season break. He played 11 games after that, and really was no better than This Is My Sandpit unfortunately, as he does have better stats. Dual national Chinese/S&G is not really an option, but is consider due to his age. I hope this is fixed during preseason. An interesting stat for the season was that This Is My Sandpit had the highest successful passes made. I’m not sure what to make of that.
Hackers who can Leap, Head and Bash. There is really only one decent defender at the club. At a top level, he will need someone who can cover him, and have better fullbacks to stop the flow down the wings. Not that that vitriol is over, I can say what I really should be saying. Burning Lazarus is the best defender, but he has declared himself in the media about his ambition about being at a bigger club. Yuk, Yogurt! and A Lot Of Trajectory shared the other DC spot during the rest of the season. I wasn’t happy with either. They are of a level. Bright, Gaudy, Jewellery still really hasn’t found his feet at the club. If he does, he could be decent for the CSK as a right fullback. You Ran Away From Her is getting on, and at 31 doesn’t have much chance of stepping up for too long, and will be replaced if a better option comes along. He is doing ok, but rocks at times. Going Crazy while technically a midfielder had to fill in as DC more often than I could help, and he is not really one, and it shows. That sending off that he had, that was really the reason why, not only just because the ref was a cock. Never You Mind will definitely get a chance against You Ran Away From Her but if he gets more injuries, he is out of here, and also if someone better comes along as well too. The others, No Means Driving Blind(who at 35 is also past it), Wonderful(who I think is not good enough, and is now full-time), A Very Fat Lubby(who I think is not really good enough, but has done a job on occasions of being called too), Marry Poppin’s A Baby and Naughty Filly(both not good enough), and finally Very Close To A Mutiny(leaving on a bosman) are not really going to be a part of the future unless I’m desperate. Right, that means defenders are needed.
I Know How To Find The Other End Of The Field. The star of the midfield was Very Sunny Cloudy Day, but the 26yr AMC who played every game wants a bigger club. Midseason signing Mirky In The Depths needs to stay away from injuries and hopefully settle. Flapping Bag Of Otters, Melting Pavlova, Going Crazy(who at 35 can’t last a full match and needs replacing just because of this), Marking His Territory(not as good as I was hoping for the right wing position), A Lot Of Jelly(needs to be transfer listed), Happy As Larry(late cameo who did well but not a long term prospect), Doing Sally(who is a giant but that is it), I Just Ran Over An Ant(meh), while Lucky Rooster(could hopefully be a good DMC) and I Am A Numbnut(looks the future for the right wing postion) are the real prospects in the midfield.
Those Who Give The Fans Souvenirs. Doing Jenny if he had his mind on his job would have scored more, but not just from Jenny. Releasing A Virus is now too old though did well, while Sat On A Cat(played most of his season on the right wing because Youth was forced to play him there), Making Merry, Flat On His Donkey’s Back and Nematode Joy have been given the chance and are not good enough. Sat On A Cat did get his chances as a forward too.
Those That Sit On Their Arses And Scratch Their Balls. There are only two who are refusing to sign full-time contracts, and I think they should either sing or be gone with. There are a few coaches and scouts and physio’s that should be too, if better ones can be aquired. We’ll see. It didn’t take long, as both sign fulltime contracts.
Looking at the league table, home and away, it is interesting to note that the home part is what let legs let the team down. While it was ultimately unbeaten, there were more draws than wins. That was the difference. If a third of the draws could be put to wins, another to losses, and the rest left, CSK would have won the league :moop:
I’m called into the office after this particular newletter was released. This can’t be good.

Thanks guys.
I played a bit more, but have a dilemma to sort out. It involves a transfer, an offer made to my squad, one that I haven't even negotiated with which is +2M pounds. The problem is that it is my best defender, who is also my captain too. You'll be hearing about this, as I've saved at this point.

I'm getting offers all the time for my best defender, 23yo Insert Here, but I'm rejecting them as they're only offering bids of around 250k, mostly motnhly installments and player type deals which I don't really like. I re-negd his contract last summer to have a min release of 2m, so I should be safe with that as he said he wants to stay at Pivara. Plank.
But aye, what's the conundrum?
