According to the commentators yesterday, Holland are England's semi opponents.
It's written in the stars.

Argentina against Coat d'Ovaries was a good game, but I enjoyed Germany-Costa Rica the most so far, if only because the Ticos have no idea what to do in defence and Germany insist on playing a very high offside trap with defenders who evidently have never met.

I never realised you were a purist, s1ut.
Is there anyone else here bored with the whole thing yet?
Nah, me neither.

You did Nark, I saw it in black and light blue.
What I saw or the Argentina vs Ivory Coats (sic) game looked pretty decent, both sides looked to be going for it big style, but I didn't really se an awful lot of it. Argentina did look pretty useful.

Come on, Narkle, you know I don't take your opinions seriously on football. Except when I agree with them, natch.

I see that the notoriously searing German heat is what is affecting England. Poor dears.
I would never be able to be paid all those thousands a week to run in the sun.
Did anyone tell them the next WC is in Africa?

They are a bunch of poofters, it's true. Maybe we'll fail to qualify on purpose next time, just so we don't have to run in the sun.
Oh and due to our superb victory on Saturday, ladbrokes have England as 5-1 second favourites.
No, really. :cab:

Did anyone tell them the next WC is in Africa? It'll be winter in Africa then though, os it will be cooler obviously, well cooler than it is in the African summer.

But I'm betting winter in Africa fries the fuck out of summer in Germany.
They're just poofs.

What a terribly funny fuck-up from Mr Schwarzer.
Dear me, that was awfully poor. I can hear the Aussie cries now that the wee Jap bloke barged Schwarzer out the way.
More poof.

I missed the goal, but it sounds like he was indeed very English in his poofyness. Maybe he's just not used to the clear air.

I keep telling you, Schwartzer is terribly over-rated. Was he going for a high ball by any chance? If so I'm not surprised he let one in.

On the BBC Website at 67 minutes:
Josh Kennedy is brought down on the edge of the box by Teruyuki Moniwa, who is booked and concedes a free-kick just to the left of the goal, right on the edge of the box. Mark Viduka slams the ball low through the net, and it is well saved by Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi.
Was the Japanese goalie standing behind the goal or something?

Fell over a small Japanese striker (who had his eyes on the ball all the way and didn't look like he'd even seen Schwartzer coming), missed the ball by a mile and watched it bounce untouched into the far corner. His new boss defending him vigorously against the "obvious foul", you'll be pleased to hear.

That was a brilliant save, Coffers. A low, hard free kick, which the keeper dived down to his right to tip out for a corner.
I don't recall it going through the net.. I think they mean wall.

The ref just made up for the foul on Schwartzer, by ignoring a stone-cold penalty.
Which is handy, as I have this one at 1-1 in the predictions.

Gah! Boony had Cahill in his fatnasty team.

Funny these "game-turning" moments. Stonewall penalty claim turned down and then Cahill does it again. And that bloke too. The wee Japs' bottle has well gone.
Bizarre game.
