What I want to know is why Julia Bradbury doesn't come walking down my canal, ok she's not drop dead gorgeous, but she's better loking than the fat fooks I normally see down there.
Tenous link there, as I recall seeing her in Country File once when I opened my eyes briefly.

The Rams may have got themselves in a bit of a pickle here.

They like me! They really like me!
After two straight years of C graded draft classes, the Detroit Lions' 2005 effort was given an "A-."
1.12 : Nick Kaczur - OT - 41/75 2.11 : Alex Smith - QB - 22/43 3.10 : Frank Gore - RB - 31/38 4.13 : Ellis Hobbs - CB - 11/23 5.12 : Jason Brown - OC - 12/42 6.11 : Jonathan Welsh - DE - 15/28 7.10 : Will Svitek - OT - 14/24
At 1.12 I had an embarrassment of riches to chose from - two runningbacks and Aaron Rodgers had all gone earlier than expected, meaning I had the second, third and fourth best Tackles and the best Guard available to choose from.
I actually tried to trade back three spots with San Francisco as then I'd still be picking directly in front of Minnesota and Green Bay, but no matter how we jiggery pokered about, I just couldn't get a deal the Niners would take. Eventually it was a five pick deal with me giving them my 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th for their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. So in rounds 1, 2 4 and 5 they'd move up a couple place and they'd get my 7 at the cost of their 3. According to my draft calculator the draft value was within 0.9 of each other, (in my favour), but they wouldn't bite.
With no way to get that to work I went back to the board - My scout said the Guard was overrated and Nick Kaczur was underrated, so I picked him and that looks like it's going to work out very well.
Then my scout said both Smith and Gore were underrated and I think he actually meant underwhelming. We'll see. My OC is "Excellent" at developing Quarterbacks, so we'll see.
My Scout is rated "Good" at pretty much everything, which is fine, but I think I need to ditch him in favour of someone who's excellent at something... anything... even if he's poor elsewhere. If I find a guy who's poor with receivers that would probably be ok, as with Gates, Fitz and the surprising sixth rounder Michael Jenkins, I think I know what I have there, even if a new scout couldn't work it out.

I'm just wondering how you got a A- for that draft? Never mind though, have you had a look where all St Louis' money went? To have only 8 players under contract surely means that they've got something very wrong somewhere. They probably won't be able to fill their roster with min salaries will they?

I have to agree with Moo, apart from your first pick I don't see anything exciting there. I guess Alex Smith and Jason Brown are ok. But the rest of the draft must have been dross.
But hey ho I never fully understood the game.

SHUT UP AND LOOK AT MY A MINUS!
I have no idea. I'm guessing the game likes it when you address the alleged needs of your team, rather than pick highly talented players? Also, don't forget that all ratings in this game are based around scouting - what you see up there is my scout's opinion of the players I drafted. As he's rated "Good" for pretty much everything, it could be that he's under-estimating the abilities of the players and the game knows better.
Let's hope so.

St Louis had a bunch of players retire and a few hit unrestricted free agency, all of whom signed on elsewhere. They have a Head Coach who's rated lowly on motivation and discipline, so maybe the atmosphere at the team was just poisonous and so... rats... ship.
They did also release some high priced people, which has a hit to the cap both this year and next, which adds to the train wreck.
After the draft and late free agency they're back up to 38 people on board, but have about $6m left in cap and need to sign at least six people to hit the roster minimums. They may need to leave some draft choices unsigned, which would be a shame...

Who do they have that might be available? Hopefully someone better than Will "Ein" Svitek or Eliis "Russel" Hobbs.
In any case, GL for next season. I'll be reading this thread with "interest".

They were just jealous of my terrible cohesion and decided signing 46 new players in th same year would show me.

Suddenly I'm feeling a lot better about that draft. 1.12 : Nick Kaczur - OT - 41/75 -> 48/71 2.11 : Alex Smith - QB - 22/43 -> 28/44 3.10 : Frank Gore - RB - 31/38 -> 39/48 4.13 : Ellis Hobbs - CB - 11/23 -> 15/31 5.12 : Jason Brown - OC - 12/42 -> 17/43 6.11 : Jonathan Welsh - DE - 15/28 -> 16/27 7.10 : Will Svitek - OT - 14/24 -> 16/26

Our new Head Coach - the former Offensive Co-Ordinator of an impressive New York Jets team that hasn't won more than 5 games in a season yet. So a prime candidate for promotion! Then here's a few players : Frank Gore : Kevin Jones :
Hopefully combining to make a good one-two punch. As, hopefully, will these two : Antonio Gates :
Larry Fitzgerald :

Elliss Hobbs had a decent stat jump too, not sure that 31 potential is that great though.
