It could have ment you were fired too, i think.
Some very exciting games you had their Pops, I bet your heart was really flying at times. Polands starting to sound like a real bostord of a league to play in.

Sounds like the Polish league might be one of those bug ridden ones. The most extreme case was the MLS where you could be winning 90% (literally) of your games but would get the sack because of poor league position. Wasn't there a known bug about leagues with weird set-ups? I seem to remember that Belgium lower leagues had the same problem because their season was split into three phases.
You're destined to get the boot soon Pops, I'm afraid.

That may be no bad thing. I played in Poland in 00/01 with good success, but... well, not to fluff my own trumpets, things aren't as bad as the players seem to think, so a bug may be the answer.
It's this fact that the players get good ratings, but still we fail to hit the dizzy heights of mediocrity.
Looking last night, I have a lot of leagues on, so a move may not be such a hardship. I have Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Russia, Italy, Spain and Scotland.
Plenty of choice.

I found Germany the most borong league I ever played, but this one looks worse. Whilst Germany may seem a step up Pops, personally I'd avoid it like the plague.

5-6 and 5-5. Well that confirms that you're not animposter, at any rate.

Just go to Italy. You know it's the most interesting of that lot.

My experiences of Belgium are pure hell. I've not played in Croatia much if at all and Russia I imagine is as dull as Poland, with it's huge long winter breaks and weirdo systems.
Fond memories of Italy and Spain. It's been a while since Scotland. Germany I "did" with Wilhelmshaven.
So I think I'll just see what comes up in the next few weeks as there are only three games until the winter break anyway.
The froodiest name will win the day. Sad to leave some of my lads, as I have got attached to some of the little blighters. Awwww. I can always come back and buy them for a pound.

I'd have gone to Germany, Pops, but that is because a mate of mine was born just outside Karlsruhe. Anyhoo, nice bit of high scoring action there, 21 goals in 2 games isn't to be sniffed at. KUTGW! :thumb:

I've enjoyed all the leagues I've played, except for my stint in the Serbian league for the very short lived (on my behalf, anyway) challenge there on FM06, but I think that's more of a reflection of my dissatisfaction with that game than anything inherently wrong with the league. The worst part about Belgium for me was that back when I played it, there was no automatic CL qualification so I had to playoff to get a spot in the moneymakers, and every single fucking season for about 4 years I drew fucking Arsenal :moop: Then I gave up, from memory Still, absolutely no forriner restriction mean shedloads of Brazil and Argie finest come over the waters to build their transfer value before nicking off somewhere good.

Germany was too easy from memory. Italy was the funnest game, while lower leagues of England was fun too. I never played much in Scotland, but Spain was indeed fun. Pity you didn't have France up, or Holland

I didn't find Germany particularly easy Sonic. Though as I said I did find it very borong.

So I proceed gently, with an eye on the job market too. Trouble is, I've never been one for resigning- I like battling to the bitter end.
Ajax bid 150k for Dancey Muppet- rejected out of hand.
I move formation. To.... well.... what is essentially a 2-1-2-3-2, with the AMs wide. It's Five Up, but no Welshmen.
H v Zaglebie : 3-2: Photosynthesis ; Folded Nubbin ; Dancey Muppet
Cup 2 Leg A v Odra Wodzislaw: 3-4: Poofy Underpants ; Arachnaglobia ; Caroff Ya Scally
We win on away goals after a 6-6 agg draw.
A v Slask: 1-2: Emil the Detective
Tempted by a couple of jobs, but they're D1 clubs in their respective leagues- want lower than that.
Bros Fan's Hubby signs for GKS Katowice on a Bozzer, rejecting my offer. We don't have the cash to compete for my upcoming expiries, unfortunately.
Winter break comes and I arrange one friendly- Polkowice, natch.
H v Polkowice: 3-4: Dancey Muppet ; Emil the Detective ; Poofy Underpants
SO that bodes well for the coming season- v non-leaguers.
Cup. QF. 1L A v Radomsko: 2-1: Poofy Underpants ; Caroff Ya Scally
Poofy Underpants seems to have sprung into new life- I signed him in the summer, played him a wee bit at the start, but he was pish, so dropped him Hes's been "Unh"- complaining about the club's league position etc, considering his options. So I stuck him back in when injuries bit.
Still got a bad feeling.
I applied for one job during this spell, and wasn't considered for it. These jobs came up- which one did I apply for and get knocked back?
a) Racing Genk b) Stirling Albion c) Saarbrucken d) Spezia e) Tongen f) KSZO g) NKSomething (Cro)

Post by floplexter on Jun 22, 2007 9:45:41 GMT
I was so, so, so tempted to go for Genk, but they were Belgian D1- D1 is bad enough, but Belgium? Wah.
Stirling likewise, D1. Tongen were D3, but that little word intervened again... Belgian.
So it was Saarbrucken.
I think I maybe aimed too high. 6th in the Polish league does not perhaps enhance one's European pedigree.
Nervous about Croatia or Russia, just because I suspect them to be similar to Poland.

Russia we did before, of course, but Croatia™? I thought you had already been there. Maybe my gin-addled brain has been deceiving me.
Hang on, Croatia™ was Narkle and his 9-2 effort, wasn't it?
