I laughed, very loudly, when I saw this result come through - the sort of laugh that Brian Blessed would think was a bit over the top.
With a minute to play in the third quarter we're behind 16-7 and looking lost for inspiration when third string quarterback Robert Barton, on the field to give Mike Thornton some plays off with Peter Mims in the medical room, hurls an 82 yard scoring pass to... guess who.
With the score suddenly 16-14 the visitors get all nervous and although my offence still can't move the ball, Monroe turn the ball over twice within field goal range and Calvin Peterson does the rest.
It's not exactly pretty, but considering the last time I played these fuckers they hammered me 51-17, I'll take anything I can get.
Next week... #4 Missouri.

Game MVPUnsurprisingly,
Chris Parks is voted MVP for being the only FAU player who knows where the end zone is. For Owls, the end zone is like the Isla del Muerta - you can only find it if you already know where it is.
Parks finishes with six catches for 165 yards and a touchdown, which isn't even his best performance
this year.
If the opposition ever take away our playaction long-bomb play, we're doomed.
