The Jets have hired Arizona DC, (and former Dolphins' interim head coach) Todd Bowles to be their new leader. Heaven knows hiring a defensive specialist hasn't gone wrong for them before.
Meanwhile, Rex Ryan finally gets his wish to lead a New York football team, as he's in in Buffalo.
In Florida, Miami Head Coach Joe Philbin cooked a pancake without burning it.

Rexy just went to Buffalo to try and stick it to Billy again. He'd have been better off going to Atlanta as the defence needs more help than the offence, IMO.

I'm really not happy with how the TV coverage is for the weekend. Putting the west coast game on before the east one doesn't make sense to me. The fact that I wouldn't be going to bed until 3am is beside the point, obv. (FWIW, there's little chance I'll be watching it.)

I'm delighted, as it means I'll be able to watch it.
Except it's on a Monday here.
Sigh.

I was sick, so I watched the whole thing.
You're welcome again, Moo.

Errr... thanks!
It just means that I'm going to be a mess on that Sunday whilst making the chilli and probably end up poisoning somebody. And I'll not enjoy the game, so thanks again, Elth.
Let's hope they pump up the balls correctly, eh?

I've got the day off to watch it so on the evidence of the past two games, the Patriots should win by at least 40.

I'm not falling for that jinx, naughty upside-down poof. I really don't know what to make of the game, TBH, I don't know enough to put my bias to one side and look at it objectively. Of course, I think that the Patriots can win, but I can also see Pete Carroll throwing multiple spanners in the works. I know the old adage of the game being won in the trenches is going to get rolled out, but Seattle don't need to win that battle, Lynch can just run through all the bodies.
I understand that conventional thinking will be that our secondary should be able to cope with the Seahawks receivers, but as you saw from the game-winning TD the other day, you can't rest on your laurels. Hopefully, Billy will get things right and I can enjoy my beer.
Also, odds are very decent on Billy wearing a cut-off hoodie in the game. Lump your money on that bet.

I'm pretty sure Brady was trolling that whole presser to see how many dirty references to balls he could fit in.

I'm gobsmacked by the whole to-do.
In other news, I'm looking forward to my chilli on Sunday.

On the one yard line with Marshawn on your team...
Pete Carroll finally won a Superbowl for the Patriots.

Massively, massively overthought it.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch.
