In fact I think I'll jack it in, because it's a borong load of old toot and the only fun to be had is from interacting with people you'll never meet over the internet. And as we all know I hate that sort of thing.

It's a big week for me - I'm starting in the u18 world cup. We're playing Lithuania today who have some disgustingly good forwards which means my world cup experience may last one game.
I scored my first goal at the weekend too. Sadly while anyone can see the 2D at international level, at club level you need to be at least a silver member to see the game, so I can't tell if I lashed the ball in from 80 yards or if a cross hit me in the arse and bounced over the line. The latter is more likely, but if it was good enough for Gary Lineker...

Well, we made it to 50 minutes without allowing a goal and I'm now subbed off and quite happy to go, as the Lithuanians have had about 12 shots on goal to our 4. No goals allowed on my watch, so if we do concede now, I can claim the more-owl victory.

got my first stat into double figures today, finally.
Tackling : 10 Positioning : 6 Technique : 4 Game Vision : 3 Dribbling : 3 Short Passes : 2 Heading : 2 Speed : 5 Stamina : 6
I also signed a new deal and for once the manager remembered to do the +1 year thing, so I'm signed through to the end of next season, for $4,000 a week, which means I should hit a level 3 trainer by the middle of this season.

Nice work there Stu :thumb:
Next week I go up a level in trainer, as finally I'll have the funds. I'm also due a new contract sometime soonish this season, and I'm going to see what the current manager thinks about a signing fee to help me get to the new training level come that time.
I've a few things like yours too, but my highest is positioning with 7. it would be good if we were training tackling, but since we're not, I'm also team training speed, stamina, short passing, game vision and positioning. That leaves me a day of speed, and a bunch of two block training with the third a fitness(on short passing, game vision, positioning days) unfortunately.

I played in the England U18s friendly against Chile on Monday, as an MC (not my usual DMC) and as I haven't got the necessary skills for that role, rated a 4. I haven't popped in a little while, but I think I have since I last told you lot. I'll update when I remember.

Good idea Moo. Here's mine:
Positiion 7 Short Passing 4 Game Vision 3 Tackling 3 Long Passing 2 Dribbling 1 Speed 2 Stamina 6
It's taking me longer to pop stats now as I'm exclusively training off the teams training, except for a couple of the days, one for fitness and the other for speed.

I got my first double-digit stat yesterday, a 10 in Short Passes. I'm going to try and concentrate now on tackling to get that up to David Batty standards as soon as I can. Because your improvement slows down at age 21, I'll be trying to get my core DM skills sorted this year and next (I'm 18) and then tweak so that I'm not going to look out of place in my current squad.
If I remember later, I'll post my current stats.

A couple of pops for Homer this week, so he's now :
Tackling : 11 Positioning : 7 Technique : 4 Dribbling : 4 Game Vision : 3 Short Passes : 2 Heading : 2
Speed : 5 Stamina : 6
A couple of weeks away from being able to afford the level 3 trainer. Our manager appears to have gone AWOL though - he hasn't interacted with the team in about two weeks and the training hasn't changed either, so at the end of the season I'll be asking to go on the transfer list.
Hopefully I can win a pot here and then go back to the states.

Homer just won his first man of the match award today in the 5-0 World Cup Qualifying win over Venezuela. www3.footstar.org/relatorio.asp?jogo_id=123058&pID=5The bad news is that his club manager hasn't signed in for more than three weeks and all his teammates are pissed off and not interacting any more. Still, at least it means I should be able to get a free transfer and another signing bonus. This is homer now : ![](http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/4846/saints20080526135228qb7.png) I'm 64% adapted to Wales, which means I've been listening to Tom Jones records. At 75% I get to fiddle with Charlotte Church's norks.

I've requested a mutual contract termination, for $1.
If it isn't answered in the next 30 days then the AI automatically accepts. The only other way off an abandoned team is to wait for the manager's FS Fan to expire.
Despite the silly manager this deal has been pretty sweet as the rewards for keeping a clean sheet mean I pick up about $6500 a week, so I'm now only one week away from a level 3 personal trainer and then if I get released on a free I can hold out for a signing bonus that'll buy me a level 4.

I've just started with a new club Windy City Sharks in Chicago, as my last club changed manager, then the new manager gave up and resigned
Skills Handling (GK) 2 Very Bad Out of Area (GK) 2 Very Bad Reflexes (GK) 3 Bad Agility (GK) 2 Very Bad Throwing (GK) 2 Very Bad

You need more skills, and for your manager to add some training for you in the team training. Otherwise you're goosed. Ask him to put one day specific to GKs, and then the rest of the time, you'll have to use your trainer.

The manager does, Sat Reflexes, but thats the only GK training, It takes twice as long for my skills to go up as GK only have 5 skills to do

I hardly ever log in now. Maybe once a week to see if a miracle has happened and I got a first team game. Unlikely.
You know what I fancy playing? A boxing-sim. That would be ace. If only someone could design something like that.......

Aye, that would be cool. We could all write stories about how our boxing management days are going, living next door to a pub with an Aussie barmaid with big hooters, and having a monkey as a sidekick. That would be awesome...

The interaction changes on Footstar are decent enough as now you just set your overall interaction level and then leave it, for ever. But the "tell player about country X" option is hidden away about a mile deep in the menus and is only available for people who are in the same location as you (as in no one if you own your own house).
After my Welsh manager fooked off I got released on a free and signed for some Spanish outfit, but the manager there keeps "forgetting" to play me, despite the fact that I'm almost exactly four times better than any of his other defenders.
My deal runs out at the end of this season and I can see that I'm going to be just taking $5000 a week off of him for the next 14 weeks and then signing on a free for about the 97th time in Homer's careen.

I'll have to look into that then, as that side of the game is annoying. I don't need more of that, I've already got a cold.

You just go in once, say you want to spend 5% of your time each day listening to your girlfriend, 2% speaking to your mam and 75% sucking up to the manager and then forget about it if you want to.
